The St. Regis la Bahia Blanca Resort, Tamuda Bay

My review has been informed by comparison with my experience at Royal Mansor, five day stay immediately before our stay at the St Regis, and our previous vacations at St Regis resorts (Langkawi, Maldives, and Bali). Positives (1) Delightful mornings and evenings watching the sun rising and setting (2) Enthusiastic junior staff willing to help the best they can to address specific requests (3) Heated outdoor pool Room for improvement (1) Failure to meet St Regis customer service standards. For example, lack of amenities to facilitate the St Regis ceremonies for example no English Breakfast or black tea, use of locally produced unpalatable sparkling wine for the evening champagne sabering ceremony, and no consistent provision of tea and coffee through the butler service. (2) Large areas of the hotel, approx 1/3, poorly maintained for example loose tiles in the swimming pool, water features not working, disabled toilet with no lock, disabled toilet not cleaned or refreshed. The beach bar and surrounding sitting area, approximately 1/5 of the resort, not in use or maintained. (3) The excessive use of university / college students to deliver service with limited to no managerial oversight. (4) Small and poorly maintained suites, for example, faulty front door lock and broken balcony door. Cleaning and turn down services provided inconsistently. (5) Disappointing breakfast in terms of selection and quality. (6) No nominated deputy whilst the general manager is not present at the reaort. General manager unavailable to meet in person or for a telephone conversation. These observations are consistent with previous reviews which I did not place sufficient emphasis on when planning my vacation. Be extremely cautious when considering your vacation plans. What a wonderful stay in this beautiful oasis on the sea! We had a quiet and serene stay at the St Regis that was made extra special by the kind and attentive staff. Many thanks to Khouloud, Faisal and Younes for making our stay an unforgettable one.

The St Regis Tamuda Bay was absolutely wonderful from the moment of arrival. The reception team were amazing. I was upgraded to a fantastic suite and throughout my time at the hotel, everybody was particularly keen to assist with excellent customer service. The room was huge and had a dining room, a bathroom a hallway and obviously the bedroom. The toiletries were Sodashi, and the bathroom was amazing with views overlooking the bay and the sea and the property as a whole. The breakfast was a buffet served every morning with wonderfully fresh food and a great selection and nothing was too much trouble for the staff on any request I had. They were absolutely amazing. Also there is a beach area in front of the pool, but the pool area was where I spent most time and they offered drinks throughout the day little treats of food that they’re obviously trying out and offering to the guests it was absolutely amazing ! I also had a treatment at the spa which was again amazing and set in beautiful surroundings! Overall I have to say a huge thank you to Maryam the Deputy Manager who made sure that everything was fantastic during my stay, even though I was only there for three nights. It was stunning and I really enjoyed it and I will definitely be back in the future a great stay and a lovely visit at the St Regis Tamuda Bay!

It was an amazing experience at the The St. Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort. The resort itself is pretty new and well maintained with a nice private beach and heated pool. The service is top notch and impeccable. We are well taken care of by the team. Within 24 hours, they all know what our preferences are. The staff greets us with our names and makes us feel like home. From the reception, F&B, concierge, housekeeping, butlers, recreation, etc, everyone is so friendly, nice and accommodating. The breakfast is a la carte and well balanced with traditional Moroccan and western options. To start a day with fresh squeezed orange juice, warm buttery danishes and specialty coffee, it’s heaven for us. We have dinner every night at the resort and there are many options to choose from. It’s the fine dining and a lot of local ingredients with high quality. The interactions with the staff are great. The restaurant’s supervisor, Faycal, remembers the wine we like and makes sure it is ready when we get there. We enjoy the drinks beside the pool. We participate le Sabrage du Champagne every night and we have good time. We are really spoiled. Definitely, we will be back to see the luxury and lovely resort again. We really appreciate every team member’s hospitality. Special thanks to Houdaifa, Salma at the reception, Ayoub, Saïd at the breakfast and Mourad, Faycal at the dinner. You make our stay so unique and unforgettable.

I can't say enough positive things about the St. Regis staff, facilities, and vibe of Tamuda Bay. If you are looking for a relaxing escape, look no further. Everything was perfect and my wife and I concluded that we should've stayed longer. At check-in, the welcome was warm and inviting. They engaged with us and make check-in feel appropriately like a welcome as opposed to something purely transactional. We booked thought AMEX FHR and were upgraded to a suite. I never come with that expectation, but I always appreciate the hotel going above and beyond. Our suite was absolutely spotless and luxurious. The staff even decorated the bedroom with roses and balloons to congratulate us on our anniversary. They also included a welcome cake. Again, I never expect that but always appreciate the staff going above and beyond. The food at the restaurant was great. The restaurant staff were attentive and fast. Your tastebuds will appreciate the freshness and flavors of anything that you order. Neither of us had a disappointing dish. The resort itself is as close to the sea as you can get. At the time of our visit, it was their rainy season and slightly chilly so we didn't get to take advantage of this aspect. But the water is absolutely beautiful and clear, the beach is clean and well-maintained. I would love to return during peak season when it's warmer just to experience the St. Regis again. The resort is on the small side. I believe there are only 100 rooms and suites which is something we like. You are made to feel like a friend or family member rather than a guest. For example, I wasn't feeling well one morning and my wife went to breakfast without me. She told me they were so concerned and that made us feel like they genuinely care about their guests. St. Regis Tamuda Bay feels more like a huge mansion rather than a resort which adds to the unique vibe of this resort. I have stayed at the St. Regis Maldives and Langkawi in the past, but Tamuda Bay is my favorite by a long-shot in terms of the resort and staff. The only negative is that the resort is about 15-20 minute taxi ride from the closest town. We didn't mind because we weren't really planning to leave the resort, but if you are looking for city vibes or restaurants etc, you will need to take a short taxi ride.
