Old Town Square Apartments by Michal&Friends

Few downsides. Decided to book this property to be centrally located on our first trip to Prague, having now been, being so close to the main square is more of a hinderance but I suppose this is by preference. Arrived to a bare kitchen; no salt and pepper, no tea, coffee or water. Wouldn't say suitable for even light cooking. The apartment has one separate toilet which had the foulest smell of drains that I have ever experienced and with little bugs that came out at night non of us could stand being in there. On one night we were locked out due to the door lock becoming stuck but thankfully this was just before the company closing time and someone turned up within 30min, getting the door open and temporarily sorted within 1h15. They returned the following day to fix the door so we had to carry a few more things with us as to not delay our trip. Despite being a late night this wasn't too much of a problem, however, if you bare this in mind denying our request for a 20min later checkout was a bit harsh. We waited for our airport taxi in the rain. Aside from these points the apartment was fair- nice shower pressure, comfortable beds and a constant supply of heating. Wouldn't stay again as location is not worth the compromises!

Right the centre, really nice apartment.

Worth the steps! This is a charming European apartment! Yes, the steps leading you to this apartment are challenging (all 54 of them) but the apartment is spacious and quaint. The owners have thought of everything. They have even thought of compiling a binder with important information. It is a quiet apartment close to many must see sights in Prague. The cafe right next to it was our favourite breakfast spot. Delicious! If you have strong legs and good stamina, don’t hesitate to seek these accommodations.

It was a good apartment with one caveat - one had to climb all the way to a 3rd floor by a steep staircase which can be really dangerous. No elevator. So keep this in mind.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation at this apartment due to unforeseen circumstances. My flight with Vueling airlines to Prague was cancelled due to a strike, and I was unable to make it to my destination. To make matters worse, I found out that the owner's representative had taken the apartment for the same period that I had booked it for and had rented it out again, essentially receiving double the rent for the same time period. This is completely unacceptable and unethical business practice. I would not recommend this apartment rental to anyone and urge others to be wary of doing business with them. This experience has left me feeling cheated and disappointed."

Appartement was zeer goed gelegen, recht in het centrum en alles was op wandelafstand. Appartement zelf was wel ouderwets, zeer kleine badkamer, de kraan in de keuken spoot alle kanten op. 1 “slaapkamer” was gewoon een matras op de grond nadat je een zeer stijl laddertje op moest klimmen. De andere slaapkamer had 2 bedden waarvan eentje langs één kant een beetje was doorgezakt. Ook kwam er zeer veel lichtinval binnen door het dakraam. Het was een avontuur opzich om de bovenste verdieping te bereiken. De trap om naar de bovenste verdieping te gaan is zeer stijl en voelt aan alsof je bij iedere stap erdoor gaat zakken. Zeker niet aan te raden voor mensen die slecht te been zijn.
