Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie / Hudson Valley

Love this booking, I was there for two nights. Hotel room is huge , bathroom is also huge, I like that it has a big sink table, which actually allows people to put their bathroom necessities on. The self- laundry service is very reasonable in price. First time using. The staff were all super nice and professional, and some even energetic. Can tell they like their job. Especially the cheerful guy at day time. The cleaning lady also cleans daily The swimming pool and gym are small, but enough The breakfast is simple but decent Things I think would love to have: 1) room slippers; 2) the big TV isn’t smart TV

방도 생각보다 너무 넓고, 걸어서 이동하기엔 조금 어려운 위치에 있지만 호텔 1층에 바에서 맥주도 마실 수 있어서 좋았습니다~ 편하게 잘쉬었습니다 .

The dust rag lef on light fixture really did not help me feel better. They changed my accomdations for my room with kind size bed to two full beds. I think the room needs a warmer feel and also rooms are cold. I think the breakfast was only think I liked. Also the giftng bag of chips and two waters for changing my room accomdation I believe was tacky.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Location is great and room is very clean and new. It is very close to the walkway over the Hudson. Breakfast is just Okay but it meets my expectation of a Hyatt place. Overall we were satisfy with our stay and we might come again next year for fall foliage

The staff at the front desk was very personable and friendly. He greeted us as soon as we arrived. We found out that we booked the wrong date, and the staff was extremely helpful and fixed the problem promptly and professionally. We were very impressed with everything. Once we got to the room, the space is very clean And the layout of the place is much better than any other hotels we’ve been to. And we’ve been traveling around the US for the past two months. The Room smells very nice. The TV is sharp and the Soundsystem is great. I slept very well and that is a lot because I am prone to insomnia, and any small things like noise or smell in the hotels would make me feel uneasy. Since I am still traveling, I have to move onto the next location, but if I could, I would have stayed longer because I like the hotel so much!

We arrived around 7pm and chose this hotel because they advertised an on site restaurant. We had been on the road for hours and didn’t want to have to search out a restaurant in an area we were unfamiliar with. We checked in and asked where the restaurant was. The gentleman working the desk pointed to the breakfast room and said it served as their eating area and he could put in an order in for us. We asked if the bar was open and he said yes. We went to our room and dropped our bags and went back down to eat. The same guy that checked us in took our order and said it would be a while because he was also the cook and bartender. The check in desk was busy with people coming in so we placed the order and asked him to ring our room when the food was ready. We waited an hour and a half and had to walk back down to pick up our meals. At 9:30pm we gat a burger and fries and a chicken Caesar salad. The burger was so over cooked that it was rubber. The fries had clearly been cooked in a toaster oven and the chicken was something frozen and reheated. We didn’t bother to go back down as it was late and the guy was a one man show operating the entire hotel alone. We planned to stop at the desk and share our experience before we checked out in the morning but again, only one person working with a line of people across the room checking in and people standing in line in the breakfast area waiting for the breakfast coffee pots to be refilled. She didn’t have time to stop and talk to us. I understand finding help is hard but shut down the “restaurant” if you don’t have staff to operate it. I could have just ordered a pizza, gotten it faster and it might have been edible.

The staff were really helpful and accommodating, specifically Kayla. She made my birthday trip there really special. The hotel was clean and everything worked well in my room and on the grounds. The breakfast surpassed my expectations and I really enjoyed it.I recommend and would definitely go back.

We have stayed here several times but this time wasn't as great as previous stays. It was nothing major but a lot of little things. For $332 a night plus another $274 in taxes and fees I excepted better. The rooms are starting to look worn, stained carpet etc. The bed had a squeaky spring so each time I rolled over it made a loud noise. We had no hot water the second day. They didn't make up our room the one day so we ran out of tissues, toilet paper & the garbage was over flowing. When I went to get more toilet paper they told me to put any towels etc. outside the door and they would come and get them. They were still there the next morning. A lot of the breakfast items ran out as well and I didn't see them refilled. We have another stay booked here but I'm going to see if I can find another place.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Good sized rooms. Breakfast is generally adequate but room for improvement. Hotel has a policy that staff do not call taxis for guests. Totally inconvenient as hotel is out of town
