Werzers Hotel Resort Pörtschach

Overall a nice hotel, good location directly by the lake with a big lawn and many sun beds. It's also a nice area on the lake since the hotel is in a quite bay area, not many motorboats (like in front of Velden) and therefore not so much water activity. The rooms are ok, the size is good. We stayed at the Deluxe Maritim Seeblick (lake view) which has a nice view over the lake. We didn't hear our neighbors so no noise. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food. We took half board which was worth it as the 4-course dinner was quite delicious, good choices and plenty. This side of the bay has a great sunset view, also from the restaurant. The hotel is definitely good for families with younger kids since they offer a kids play room with childcare. Parents can play together with their kids in the kids play room, or leave their kids with childcare. At times, we found that the 2 young ladies (probably some summer interns) who watched the kids were scrolling on their cell phones rather than engaging or watching the kids. The door to outdoors that leads directly to the big lawn and lake was always open. We were concerned that one quick kid (like my nephew who's 3 1/2) could just slip out without being noticed. We recommend to keep the door or outdoor gate locked (which it was never!). It's also a shame they charge to take out the paddle boards they offer. Why not offer it for free to your guests, like other hotels do, so you can take it for 20 min, go paddle boarding and return it. No need to 'rent' it and pay for it for a full hour. Also, whenever the lake was quiet, after 6pm, and I wanted to go paddle boarding, they had locked them down for the day. This is the most beautiful time to go between 6 - 7pm. It's summer, it's light until 9pm! We found that the girls at the reception desk weren't trained well and were mostly young summer interns not very interested in customer service and helping the guests. Walking in, and no one greets you friendly at the reception, that's a bad start. I understand that it's hard to find staff these days in general, but small improvements would go a long way. Definitely try the restaurant Badehaus which is by the water, it's beautiful and delicious.

We didn't have a reservation, but it was off-season, so we just walked in and got a room. Large hotel with a nice deck off the bar & restaurant (have a drink, look out at the lake). The room was rather small, but clean, with a balcony (we had a view of the parking lot, pretty much). Bartender was really nice. The breakfast buffet was HUGE and really good (so many different kinds of bread, cheese, fruit, yogurt, plus hot options like eggs, bacon, sausage - and champagne for mimosas if you wish to indulge). Pleasant stay, but the room was pretty warm and we weren't able to cool it very much. Even though the weather was rather cold, I liked that there was a beach bag in the room with robes and towels, which would have been great in the summer.

Bad place for working with one of the most stupidest hotel manager Reza Nadery I ever worked. As a worker is a very bad place, you need to work in two shifts in the morning and in the evening. Every week you need to stay couple hours more and they didn't pay this time next month. In Gym some of the machines were broken more then one month, they didn't fix them. To much stress for small money.

Super schönes Wochenende im Hotel verbracht. Im 6. Stock gewohnt, war ein 3Bettzimmer, sehr geräumig mit Blick auf See und Parkplatz. Es war ein Porsche und Ferrari Treffen im Hotel. Wunderschöne Autos, alte und neue, ein Spektakel 👍. Das Frühstücksbuffet perfekt, alles was das Herz begehrt.

Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Alle waren bemüht, kompetent und freundlich. Ohne, dass wir darum gebeten hatten, wurde uns am nächsten Tag ein ruhigerer Tisch beim Essen organisiert, der noch dazu eine schönere Aussicht auf den Wörthersee hatte! Das Essen war sehr gut und die Weinauswahl ebenfalls. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön. Es gibt zwei Wellnessbereiche, wobei wir meist im Werzer Badehaus waren, weil da der beheizte Außenpool mit traumhaften Ausblick auf den angrenzendem See war. Es gab auch spezielle Aufgüsse in der Panoramasauna. In unserem Paket war auch die Kältekammer, die mein Mann begeistert in Anspruch nahm. Auch hier wurde uns alles kompetent und freundlich erklärt! Es war ein traumhafter Aufenthalt! Wir waren von Karsamstag bis Ostermontag hier. In Pörtschach war nicht viel los , deshalb haben wir die „Wörthersee Plus Card“ genützt und sind gratis mit dem Zug nach Velden und nach dem Besuch dort , viel günstiger mit dem Schiff zurück nach Pörtschach gefahren! Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Haben für einen Tag das Day Spa besucht. Hat mit Auszeit allerdings nicht viel zu Tun den ganzen Tag sehr laut da Handwerker über dem Saunabereich arbeiten zum andern sehr viele Kinder vor Ort die den Pool vor dem Saunabereich genutzt haben. Waren unter der Woche dort. Für den Preis wäre mehr Ruhe nett gewesen. Ansonsten hat alles gepasst.
