I booked a week in Salina Bay for myself and my two daughters. Good points: the apartments are spotless and very modern, the pool is quiet and exceptionally clean as are the grounds. It felt really safe as it has a gate with a code to enter. the driveway is lit well and the front doors of the apartments are sturdy - which was reassuring. There is also a night guard when the reception isn't open and the staff spoke several languages and were friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket opposite which is reasonable and the port is a short walk (five minutes) away. Constructive criticism: we arrived late (around 22h) on the Saturday evening. It would have been great to have a 'welcome pack' with a couple of bottles of water in as I had to go into town to find something to drink. It would be useful if the starter pack had a couple of dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid, a cloth. teatowel and perhaps salt/pepper/olive oil as there is nothing to clean with. This is my only criticism - I bought them all from the supermarket but it would be useful on arrival. Over all. it was a lovey place to stay and well positioned for the port and the town. However, be aware, a taxi (return) to the beach at Pallombaggia is 80 eurs so car hire is necessary if you don't want to rely on taxis or if you want to get around a bit more. However, the pool is lovely and there was plenty of space and loungers. There are plenty of restaurants at the port and in the town to eat at which are pretty reasonable. Very nice over all,
