Amazing snorkelling out front of resort easily accessible by ramp/ladder.. some of the best coral I've seen. Bungalows are authentic.. dated but have kitchen and laundry. Birdies Bar & Kitchen caters for your dining wants.. ask Jonathon to whip up a mystery cocktail. Hosts Caroline and Damien are hands-on and encourage guest interaction.

We just enjoyed 4 nights in an Oceanfront Bungalow (2bed and 2bath) for our 20th anniversary. The highlight of Island Magic Resort is the absolutely wonderful Managers (Caroline and Damo) and all of the staff. They’re all so very welcoming and make sure your stay is perfect. The rooms were great and spacious. Ours was 2 large bedrooms with ensuites, full kitchen with microwave/stove, lounge, dining, laundry and outdoor deck. Another highlight of the resort is the jetty with amazing coral reef, lots of tropical fish which was perfect for snorkeling every morning and evening. The resort is about 20mins drive from the city/airport because of the pot holes that slow you down. If you need transport be sure to arrange it with the resort because Paul Lota the local guy was the best!! Next time we’re in Port Vila we’ll definitely stay here again.

What an amazing 5 days we have had at Island Magic Resort where Caroline and Damien went out of their way to make our stay even more special. With the gorgeous reef just metres from our bungalow this was a hidden gem and some of the best coral reef we have ever seen. Island Magic Resort is ideally located within close proximity to the airport and town just 15 minutes. Tanna Coffee is within walking distance and coffee roasted on site with free tours available, along with the Beach Bar which has an unbelievable fire show. This resort is perfect for rest and relaxation with Birdies Bar and Restaurant serving drinks and amazing food by the beautiful friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

We booked a bungalow with a view on the ocean. When we arrived we were given a bungalow with a view on another bungalow right in front us. When we talked to the owner he said to take our bagages and find another place ! I told him that it is not a Nice way to welcome people. He said he doesn’t care. The bungalow has nothing to do with the pictures! It is dirty 😱😱😱 And there is no wifi !!!!

Comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location. Bungalows are fully self contained with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, clean and comfortable, however could benefit from a dip clean. You have your own reef at the resort but there are no snorkels or masks provided, you need to supply your own. Staff very friendly and the restaurant does great food, just need to check the opening hours. Location - there’s a small shop about 1km down the road and a beach bar about 1.5km along the beach apart from that be prepared to walk or have pre-arranged transport. Locals are friendly and will offer you a lift if you’re heading in their direction.

Mixed feelings about this place. The Bungalows are excellent - spacious, well-designed, high ceilings and louvred to capture the cooling sea breezes. They are also comfortably-furnished and appointed with excellent lighting, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry area with good washing machine, some washing powder, drying rack, iron and board etc. We stayed in a two-bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow which was perfect for our 19 year old to have her own space. The main issue with this place is it’s location about 2kms along a VERY rough, rocky and gravel road - probably the roughest we’ve ever driven on which means it feels quite isolated. There were 2 bikes that could be borrowed but we only used them the first afternoon to ride to the tiny grocery store at the start of the gravel road as we weren’t told the restaurant was closed the first night for a private function. We ended up hiring a little car because nothing was in real walking distance. The view over the bay is lovely and the coral just off the deck fantastic. The pool wasn’t very appealing. We only ate in the restaurant twice (as it was closed a number of times for either private Christmas parties or Sunday and Monday scheduled closures) The food was excellent though - very tasty, fresh and generously proportioned and quite reasonably priced for dinner. Staff lovely, especially Joe. Geraldine the manager was chatty and helpful at times. If you’re after a quiet, tranquil, relaxed, spacious retreat, I would recommend, but only if you have a car, preferably a 4WD.
