We came here as a first stop on this vacation because I have always wanted to go to a Pow Wow in the Midwest, and this 146th was for the "Fancy Dance World Championships". It was amazing watching both the women and men dancers doing their traditional and specialty dances. Note: there are different tribe Pow Wow's all over the country. As for the hotel, I knew from prior reviews here that it is old but the best one available. The desk employee Sharon Eubanks is very knowledgeable about the area because she has lived here for a very long time so ask here about where to go. The room, floor, bathroom, towels, the AC vents (we still sterilize due to covid) and overall hotel was clean. My bed had a slight sag to it but my husbands was fine. The free breakfast had certain items scheduled for each day, but the food was good. We toured The Marland Estate, very interesting (he was Governor of Oklaoma at one time) and we also went to Ponca Lake area which was a beautiful even though the lake has a very rocky bottom in the swimming area. Oh.....and the wind turbines....they are everywhere, and they go on forever and ever!
