This was our second stay here first time in the winter. Danielle is a fantastic communicator, easygoing and the best host! The cottage was cosy and warm when we arrived. We loved the outdoor fireplace and the countryside surrounding is just spectacular!! Loved our stay! Thanks again.

Thank you Danielle and Declan for a fabulous stay. Your cottage is fantastic and your hospitality amazing. What a treat for us from the West to be able to stay in the Hunter Valley and meet up with friends and family. With the added bonus of a cellar door serving lovely wine within a few meters. We will certainly be back hopefully for a longer stay next time.

We loved staying a couple of nights in Cabernet Cottage as a base for our Hunter Valley weekend from Sydney. The cottages were near some of the wineries we wanted to visit and we had the pleasure of a tasting there as well -- we enjoyed the wines and the insights from Declan. The cottage was comfortable and good for us to have dinner there one night when we didn't want to head out (and to have a tasting brought to us by Stay n Sip -- separate review). Most of all, Danielle was a pleasure to deal with both leading up to our stay and while we were there. She checked in with us a couple of times that all was going well and we enjoyed our discussions with her. We look forward to coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short two night stay at Cabernet cottage, spacious and well equipped with nice views over the vineyard. We particularly enjoyed listening to the birdsong in the morning and the friendly hospitality of our hosts Danielle and Declan. The wine tasting was a real pleasurable experience with a great selection of quality estate wines, not to be missed!

What a beautiful place to stay. It's not very often we choose the fancy places, we normally have a tight budget, but orignally this was purely chosen for its location, it was close to a wedding we were off to, but so glad we did, it was worth every cent, this gorgeous Cottage was perfect. It had every thing we needed, it was beautiful and clean and Danielle was an absolute pleasure to deal with in the booking process and her friendly face at check in was a delight! Not to mention the wine they produce was on point! Highly recommend!

Superb location on Hermitage Road Pokolbin.Loved the expansive grounds with lots of wildlife such as Kangaroos and various birds.We stayed in the Merlot Cottage which comfortably accommodated 4 adults.The cottage was spacious and bright plus had all the necessities for a short stay break..The BBQ was great and we enjoyed having a meal around the outside table.The hosts Declan and Danielle were very easy to deal with.Finally you must do the complimentary wine tasting.

McCaffrey's was such a lovely, cosy cottage. The McCaffrey's offered little touches to the stay, such as a bottle of wine from their vineyard and sticks/logs that they had collected prior to our arrival that were placed by the fireplace ready for use; this just added to the genuine, welcoming and caring nature. The location was great too; close to the main restaurants, bars etc, but also secluded in terms of noise pollution etc. We had a minor issue with the door not locking, I texted Danielle, and this was attended to in a timely manner.

Cute little cottage that was in the perfect location opposite where we were attending a wedding. The flys & mozzies were a bit of a problem as there are no screen doors. The shower head in the bathroom would not stay up either, thus made showers a bit interesting. Very nice friendly owner.

Absolutely wonderful. Pretty and comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. Welcoming and helpful hosts . Great breakfast with cereals , eggs and bacon provided. Close to all wineries ( including their own) and restaurants and the Gardens. We will be back
