Finding a good hotel in Nepal can be a bit of a challenge, especially when some reviews turn out to be fake or misleading. After a less-than-ideal experience at another hotel—complete with cockroaches—and visiting two other unsuitable options, stepping into the doors of Hotel Tara was like finding an oasis in the desert. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness, as if we were part of their family. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, offering us a room on the 5th floor with absolutely stunning views. On clear days, you can even see the snow-capped peaks of the distant mountains, making the balcony an idyllic spot to relax and take it all in. The room itself was cozy, impeccably clean, and radiated a sense of calm and balance—it had an energy that just felt right. While the breakfast was simple, it was sufficient to start the day, and the options for lunch and dinner more than made up for it. The dishes were delicious, and the availability of room service was a lovely touch for those days when we just wanted to kick back and relax. But above all, what truly stood out was the people. Hospitality like this can’t be faked—it’s something genuine. The team at Hotel Tara made us feel valued and cared for, going out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Their kindness and authenticity will remain the highlight of our time there. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with beautiful views and heartfelt hospitality, Hotel Tara is the one.
