"Hoteles muy bonitos y en una ubicación realmente central, dotado de todos los servicios esenciales. El personal es amable y disponible y he encontrado la estructura limpia y bien mantenida. No tengo nada que quejarme. La ubicación es sin duda uno de los puntos fuertes: saliendo del hotel ya está en el centro de la ciudad, así que puedes visitar todo cómodamente a pie, sin necesidad de utilizar los medios o preocuparse por encontrar un aparcamiento. Además, en las inmediaciones del hotel hay aparcamientos municipales vigilados, con un costo realmente irrisorio, que se espera muy cómodo para los viajeros en coche. En general, me encantaba mucho y lo aconsejo enérgicamente."

There were many shared facilities like a kitchen area with coffee/tea (paid), seating area and smoking area. We didn't find the listed washing machine and there was no fridge in the room. There was no reception, and communication re early check in and/or bag drop was difficult. The toilet area was always wet because of there was no separate shower area or shower curtain."

"This is a large hotel, located somewhat far from the city center, so having a car is advisable (if not essential) to get there. On the other hand, it has free parking right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient for coming and going, although the first time you arrive it's a bit confusing since there's a barrier and nowhere does it indicate that it's the hotel's parking lot. You have to take a ticket and drive through as if it were a public parking lot, and then at reception they validate the ticket each time so you can leave without having to pay. The hotel is in a tall, large building with a "Soviet" style aesthetic, lacking any charm, despite being quite nice. The same was true of the room: very large, functional, it had everything necessary, it was on a high floor with a view... but without any charm! The hotel was half empty, if not almost completely empty, which also seemed strange. The staff were very polite, but lacked initiative. For example, upon arrival we asked about the pool, and they showed us where it was, but when we went down to swim, they told us it was already closed for maintenance at 6 pm... in the middle of August! Even so, the best thing about the hotel, at least in summer, is undoubtedly the pool (which is why we chose it, as it was very hot at midday). There were few people there, and the surroundings were rather unattractive, although the pool itself was huge and very pleasant. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. On the second day, we were the only couple at a table in the dining room, and they served us breakfast à la carte because they hadn't even set up the buffet. I suppose it was because there weren't enough guests. The overall impression was that the hotel was operating at half capacity, or as if it were about to close soon, or perhaps not, but a hotel of this size with so few guests gave a somewhat sad and run-down feel. In short, it's a good place to stay while visiting Plovdiv, if you have a car or other means of transport, but it lacks any real charm."

"Nice location in the old town and close to the pedestrian area. Personalized welcome note. We had a twin room, bed was high for me and the hard side rail/board was a bit uncomfortable. Good breakfast and free wine and cheese in the evening. No elevator, not a problem for us but perhaps for some. Overall decent place."

"This is a great little hotel with the most wonderful staff. Within minutes of arrival I injured my hand in a freak accident. Ina in reception volunteered to take me to A&E at the local hospital. Once there she acted as my interpreter & paid for a Tetanus shot & Antibiotics plus dressings etc. Totally above and beyond her role and on her own time as she had finished her shift. The food in Avocado restaurant which is attached to reception is really delicious, Beef Shank, Foie Gras, Veal Tongue 🤤 The Staff were really polite and helpful and the 7 in our group were delighted we had chosen the Plaza. I will definitely be returning here."

"My first time visiting Plovdiv, when I arrived at the hotel I checked in and went up to my room, because it was late and I need to rest because I'm doing a big tournament in several cities in Bulgaria…. When I entered my room I was shocked by the horrible, degraded and very dirty situation for a 4 star hotel. In the morning I went to have breakfast and I came across a completely dirty restaurant and the state of the carpet was very disgusting, horrible.. I don't need to say much because you can see with your own eyes some of the photos I put here the facts of the reality that this hotel is in. Hotel stuck in time, decor from the last century, very dilapidated, a serious lack of daily cleaning for a 4-star hotel, I don't recommend it to anyone, worse than a 2 or 3-star hotel. In conclusion, I checked out of this hotel as quickly as possible. I never thought I'd find 4-star hotels in these horrible states."

"Beautiful antique room, great bath, lovely bed, charismatic wonderful space. Nice breakfast. However… The concierge shared his DNA with of a plank of wood. Unhelpful, unfriendly and nowhere to be found when you needed him. Didn’t even say thank you or goodbye when we left. He just filtered into the shadows with the 40lev for parking. The woman was communicative, helpful and friendly. Maybe she should run it. (Oh, and the restaurant is shut) On another note. Plovdiv itself is very quiet, not much to do, in retrospect we should have spent no more than 2 nights."
