The courtyard Marriott in Pleasanton was extremely underwhelming. While the lobby looks nice, the hallways and room have an extremely musty smell and the rooms are dirty. There is old carpet everywhere and the smell is disgusting. During my two day stay, there were only two employees that I met that were friendly. The person who checked me in and a younger woman who was working in the bistro while I was sitting at a table working. From an earlier question that was answered by one of the workers, I knew that the hotel wasn't sold out while I was there. I went to go ask for a late check out because I had a call from 1 PM to 2 PM that I was hoping to take in my room. The guy at the front desk had zero emotion, did not care to help me and was quite rude in his interaction. With a dead pan face, he offered to extend me until 1 PM which obviously was not helpful. It wasn't the fact that they didn't give a late check out tbh but rather his demeanor and attitude and look on his face. Perhaps he does not like his job, but he should at least be nice to customers. Even if the rooms were not musty and dirty, I would not recommend staying here and I will choose a different hotel next time I am here.
