I stayed at Casa del Toros for two weeks in May 2023 while attending the CPI Spanish Immersion program for medical Spanish. The first thing you need to know: a family of howler monkeys lives in the trees on the property. Now, if you do not enjoy and are not fascinated by howler monkeys, I am very sorry for you and you should not stay here. For me, howler monkey television is the hottest show to sit in many of the stunningly manicured gardens and watch for hours on end. The next thing: Casa del Toros has hotel rooms, which are pretty standard hotel rooms; or apartments. The apartments are amazing! Mine had a full living room, dining room, and full kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, and microwave. I had 2 TVs, ceiling fans throughout, and a bathroom that rivals a Las Vegas hotel bathroom. There is a restaurant on property that makes amazing pancakes, nachos, salads, and is happy to bring it to you to enjoy poolside. I loved how meticulous the daily cleaners were and how genuinely lovely the entire staff was. I will be back twice this year to continue my medical Spanish studies and I am staying here again.
