Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island

The moment that I land on Platte, everyone is welcoming me with friendly smile and wishes me a happy birthday. It was surprise for me that they checked the date of my birthday upon my arrival, everybody wishing me a happy birthday. Yogi and the team arranged the birthday decoration with coconut leaves flowers, cake, champagne, and it never stop there. Everybody wish me a happy birthday during my stay and I enjoyed the bath experience. The staff and management are well organized, they have 50 villas and 3 restaurants that serve great local food with local resources, fresh fish and delicious. Yogi my personal concierge is always helping with all activity and solve all the problems, Mr. Vir Director ir Rooms is amazing, he make my stay experience feel better, antoaneta food and beverage manager are always smile and always there in each restaurant. Karan is the first person who welcome me at arrival favilion, Apri housekeeping paid attention to my personal touch in my villa and Bunny in villa dining, Hemant spa The weather is amazing with ocean breeze, water temperature is fabulous The villa is gorgeous and spacious, I have stayed in black tip villa and hawksbill villa was amazing. I will definitely be back with my family next time The resort is perfect for couple, families or solo travel.

Luxury stops when you have to think! At Waldorf Astoria Platte Island, I didn’t have to think once. This is an incredible island destination. Every staff member ensured that I was taken care of and each day was made easy with their attentive, yet discreet service. The private villas are immaculately maintained and set back from the beach surrounded by your own private garden with pool. At the end of the garden, a pristine beach is revealed flanked by lush palm trees and crystal clear waters. I really appreciated the care Waldorf gives to Platte, they are great custodians of this beautiful island. We were assigned a personal concierge, Stef, who took care of our every need from restaurant reservations, ensuring tailored menus, to even managing a hotel booking for our return to Mahe. The island is a short flight from Mahe which we boarded from the dedicated Waldorf lounge at the airport. In summary, I want to return asap! This is a very special place for anyone seeking to experience paradise under blue skies by day and star filled skies at night where nothing is too much trouble for the team and their only aim is to ensure you leave with a full heart and everlasting memories. My wife and I just returned from our trip to the Waldorf for our anniversary. I'll split the review into two portions: Pre-arrival to the hotel: Before departing for our trip we were approaching the date of our flight and we had not heard from the hotel. I had reached out 3 separate times to attempt and coordinate the flight to Platte island and inquire about diving. Generally other hotels we had stayed at had been more proactive and reach out closer to the booking date rather than the departure/cancellation dates. We had waivered a few times about cancelling our stay at the property. Arrival in the Seychelles As disorganized as the pre-arrival was giving less than 5-stars would be disservice to what we experienced once we landed in Mahe and on the island. Top to bottom from the villa, food, and staff were all above and beyond. There was daily actives (free & paid) to keep guests entertained. They have also just got a new dive company on the island and Liz was fantastic to go diving with. A few folks that stood out to us during our time on the island: Caleb & Tobi - These guys will have you laughing the entire time and keep you busy with activities on and off the water. "I love it" Chef Sebastian - Did a wonderful job with all of the food and we really enjoyed getting to know him. Each morning our conversations with him were some of our favorites. Adul- An absolute mad scientist of a bar tender. He is a joy to talk with and makes drinks I've never seen or tasted in any of my travels. Svetlana- Our concierge for the week who organized surprises (we took them all home) and kept us in the loop with things on the island. She took care of us the entire time. After our stay our flight home was cancelled and we had no idea where to go. It was late at night and there were no arriving flights, so all of the taxis were gone. Lana had organized a hotel and taxi for us within 10 minutes. There were so many others I could continue writing about, but thankful for the memories we were able to take home with us.

We have just returned from Platte Island having had the most amazing holiday of a lifetime. The island itself is unique with unspoilt beaches/sea teeming with wildlife. Fantastic facilities starting with the Leisure team led by Gary along with his wonderful staff Steph, Shamila, Caleb, Fabrice , Jovani, Mario, Shem, Toby & Khloe Who were always on hand for the poolside activities and water sports including boat trips, kayaking, snorkelling as well as movie under the stars, fantastic stargazing and the Moutya Performance which was amazing. We were lucky enough to eat at all three restaurants. Breakfast at La Pearl was excellent with a wide choice of freshly prepared food on offer and attentive and friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. They even surprised my wife with a birthday cake and song. A special mention to Brandon the pool server who kept us hydrated and served us our cooling ice cream by the pool. The Moulin what a wonderful personal experience with Chef Gavi and his team who prepared and served the most fantastic food in the most relaxing surroundings. The Maison Des Espices with the Creole flavour another terrific evening not forgetting Luca with his fountain of knowledge on all wines and spirits and his fantastic TAKAMAKA rum experience, what a treat. Our daily treat also was with Dennis the Barrista who was so knowledgeable about Tea and Coffee and always gave us some homemade cookies. What a lovely gentleman. Another favourite at the end of the day was with Abdul and his team at Lalin trying different cocktails and our favourite G&T. All in all a fabulous holiday at this 5 Star resort. Can’t wait to return.

The service here was impeccable. We felt like the staff was our family by the end of the trip. They took such a thoughtful approach to customer service. Each guest gets a personal concierge that is there for you every step of the way. Also, the food and accommodations were both excellent.

We were guests at hotel waldorf astoria Seychelles. It was the best time on vacation we ever had an really unforgettable.🤩 The service is perfect and the company is completely very frindly - just more than in orher luxury hotels . We had so many amazing conversations with the people who are working there. Our favorite restaurant was the „moulin“, where the supervisor Dheeraj is working. His knowledge about good wine and fine dining and also his extraordinary service is unique and just better than everything we saw before. He made our vacation to an unforgettable culinaric experience. We spend most time on this restaurant. We even tested perfect wine from all over the world during a high quality wine tasting to our dinner. We are so thankful for this grate experience and the kind gift he gave us. Dheeraj makes a great job!! Therefore he organised his restaurant and the team really perfect. His motivation is grateful - he makes his job with passion and he is so allered. We hope to meet him again on the next holiday. Also the cook and kitchen manager on Moulin made art of the food- this was fine dining on it’s best! We are thankful to meet Dheeraj and all the other amazing people from waldorf astoria! Also thanks to the lifeguard from Sri Lanka who takes a look to us every time when we were swimming in the sea. Thank you for making this holiday unforgettable! We will see you again.
