Angels Suites

Angels Suites are truly a heavenly retreat right in the heart of Platanias. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean and we were greeted in person by Joseph as soon as we stepped out of our taxi and into the shop below which form part of the same building. Joseph helped us to our room and pointed out the amenities. The two luxurious apartments are located via a marble staircase through a dedicated secure entrance at the side of the building. We stayed in Gregory apartment which is at the front of the building directly facing the square and the nightlife with a full sliding door and small balcony to take in the atmosphere which is buzzing into the early hours (and beyond). Joseph apartment is at the rear and has a sea facing terrace. Back to Gregory apartment, it had a large smart TV in the open plan lounge/kitchen with surround sound and access to netflix etc along with a full kitchen with every amenity you could wish for, including a juicer a coffee maker and even some condiments (Olive Oil, Paprika etc). A welcome pack was provided with local wines and some snacks. Very nice touch. A note on the lounge, it has a sofa bed, however, unless you are here to party or out of season you wont be using the sofa to sleep on, the party in the square would make it very difficult. That said you cannot hear the noise in the bedroom so would assume you cannot hear the noise in the other suite at all. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath and an over bath shower. The bedroom had a comfy bed and a safe along with adequate storage and a little anti space for laundry. The apartment is decorated with unique art works by Anastasia which seem to capture the spirt of the place. The crowning glory, literally is the roof terrace providing spectacular outside space for enjoying the glorious Cretan weather or taking in the sunset over the sea. The roof terrace is well equipped with sunbeds, parasol, chairs and table set and a hot tub with several jet and light settings as well as an outdoor shower. A land lane is provided to call the staff in the shop below during opening hours and a mobile number is provided for out of hours service if any emergencies occur. We called the staff line a couple of times for replacement towels/rubbish disposal and this was dealt with very courteously and promptly thanks Stavros and team in the shop. Due to an electrical issue we did have cause to call the out of hour emergency number, this was at no fault of the property owners but Joseph responded immediately, despite the late hour, to ensure our comfort and then had the issue resolved the very next morning. This was our general experience with any slight request. A courteous and prompt response with a smile. Genuinely great hospitality. Could not recommend more. Thank you Joseph and team.
