Great stay at Belvedere again. The rooms are s great size and very clean. Has everything we need.. small kitchen.. sitting area.. comfortable bed. The staff are always fantastic... very helpful. Nice pool area.. excellent breakfast. A little bit back from the beach but it's just short 100m walk. Nice beaches s short drive away as well

We stayed in July at the Belvedere apartments in Plakias , Crete , I was compelled to write a review because of the amazing standard of service we received. From the moment we arrived the level of service was excellent. Impeccably clean rooms and the attention to detail was outstanding. The receptionist Elda has to be one of the happiest people we have ever encountered and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast service by Evginia in our room each day was beautifully served and the choice was endless. Compliments to the chef for the daily salads and sweet treats that appeared. We would highly recommended the Belvedere as probably one of the friendliest and most professional hotel apartments we have ever stayed in. Great location for the beach and restaurants. We hope to return Belvedere Apartments again next year. 5 stars from us

Great spacious apartment cleaned spotlessly every day by Esmeralda, the reception happy young lady was so helpful and eager to please… Evgenia brought our high-quality breakfast with enthusiasm and efficiency… walking distance from the extended beach and all amenities.. we highly recommend it!

Wonderful Apart-Hotel in a great location for exploring this part of Southern Crete. Very Welcoming and lovely staff who always made us Welcome with a Special mention to the Service maid who was Exceptional with her duties and always had a smile ! Nice pleasant touches with the Rakki and Confectionery left in our room every day. Breakfast available in your Room if required , Wine and Water with Coffees on arrival. Nice pool and spacious Apartment .Room 204 a big thank you to Hays Travel for finding us this Gem ! Suited our requirements as a Base to explore uncharted Beaches ⛱️ for us and Great local Taverna's . If there was a fault with the Belvedere we did not find it .Can't speak Highly enough of this establishment or the staff

We have just returned from a six day break at this hotel and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is modern, tasteful with all the comfort and luxury combinations. Breakfast is served to your rooms and is absolutely fresh, locally sourced and delicious. The apartments are fully equipped and come with spa robe, slippers and pool and shower towels. In all honesty I couldn’t make any suggestions for improvement to the accommodation and ambience as they have it all sorted to a high level. Perhaps the only suggestion I could make is some shade by the pool area? On our departure day we had full use of a shower and luggage storage room and were attentively looked after by the receptionist who sourced towels and a hairdryer for us to use. Our holiday had started badly as ‘Love holidays’ had cancelled our outgoing flight and we weren’t able to get an alternative and privately sourced flight until a day later, cutting our holiday short by a day. The hotel were great at keeping in contact and reassuring us and more they helped ensure we ended up j having a fabulous holiday. We wouldn’t use live holidays again but certainly plan to come here again albeit under our own steam. You won’t be disappointed and will want to visit again

You may wonder why it has taken me so long to write a review on The Belvedere Apartments and Spa. ? We have personal reasons for not writing sooner but hope to remedy that now by writing a review on this property. The Belvedere has the highest standards possible . The decor, cleanliness and facilities are excellent . We were given room number one , which was a room that was suitable for less abled people. The balcony was spacious with outdoor settees and loungers and clothes drier. The kitchen facilities were excellent. The hotel has a lovely pool with curtained beds within it’s own grounds. We used the spa facilities , which were also excellent. The hotel is in a prime position , with local shops, bakery, gift shops and lots of restaurants . The sea is a few mins walk from the hotel , so pretty central . You can take boat trips from Plakias to Preveli Beach , which is well worth a visit. The coach leaves Plakias bus stand and runs to Rethymnon. The route takes you through the gorge which is quite spectacular. Anyone booking The Belvedere Will not be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely stay . Covid rules were followed to a tee, well done Best wishes June

We have just returned from a 10-night stay at Belvedere Apartments. Everything about the hotel was faultless - the rooms and pool were spotless, and staff couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast - fresh and delicious - is delivered to the room and there is a 'packed breakfast' option if leaving early for a day out. We arranged an extended checkout on our leaving day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Plakias itself is a great place to be based for exploring the island though it can be extremely windy in the summer. The local scenery is spectacular and the sea is crystal clean. We used a combination of public transport, taxi, organised tour and car hire to do some exploring.

With just 4 days to go Belvedere Apartments and Spa cancelled our accommodation without any explanation. In the subsequent hours after the cancellation through various email exchanges I was told that other guests had stayed longer and therefore they could not accommodate us. I was horrified - I thought they would honour a fully paid booking rather than extend a stay of an existing guest. It is not nice to know that your booking is never really confirmed.

Stayed here for a week. Cannot fault it in anyway. It is immaculate everywhere. Rooms very stylish and luxurious. There is even a pillow menu. Breakfast is served in the room and it is all stunning. All locally sourced. Staff are amazing and cannot do enough. Pool area is classy and relaxing. We had a massage in the spa which was absolutely fantastic and such good value. It is in a great location with all amenities nearby. Already looking at when we can return.
