Piskopiano Village

I stayed here in June ((leaving today😪) and these apartments are hugely under rated. We arrived about 11:00 pm we were greeted by Stelios on the 24 hour reception who made checking in very quick so we could go for a much needed drink and he pointed us in the direction of Kostas. Good choice. The staff have all been amazing but special shoutouts for Roy (cleaner) and Ben. Our room was spotless and cleaned daily. The grounds were hosed and scrubbed at 6:30-7am every morning. Ben on the bar is a special man and everyone's friend and really knows how to get strangers talking to each other and becoming new friends. The apartments are in a village on a hill so you have stunning views over Hersonissos with a beautiful sunrise. There are lots of steps or steep ramps to get from main entrance to rooms and both pools if you have walking issues then it is not the place for you. I was in apartment 46 and it was one of the biggest I've stayed in and the balcony was over 20ft long. The apartments are clean and typically Greek. If you are looking for a fitted kitchen in a 3 star property then this is the wrong country for you. I had a double ring stove top, a toaster and a kettle but had no intentions of using anything other than the kettle. Wifi is free and so is air-con which is rare. Piskopiano village is quite small but still has some very good places to eat and drink. Episporida and David's are highly recommended. Turn left from main entrance and you have about a 1 minute walk into Koutoloufari with lots of bars and restaurants. I have been to the area many times but this was my first stay here. I believe it has just been taken over by a larger company who are working hard to rectify a few minor problems but I believe when this place is fully repaired it will be one to beat but as I say they are small problems. We stayed at this hotel in May 2025 On arrival no staff available to help us check in 🤔resolved very quickly though Despite a few teething problems initially we had a great holiday Wonderful room in number 31 Both swimming pools open and plenty of sunbeds Ben on the bar was brilliant very hospitable I'd recommend this hotel, clean comfortable accommodation close to all bars and restaurants within piskapiono P.s no WiFi available and no evening bar or restaurant!!! Hotel has recently changed owners too

Very few rooms have been refurbished Impossible to cook even basic snacks on a single hob still waiting on toaster amongst other items. If you plug in more than two items the electrics fuse . Bathroom is very old and tired and needs a deep clean like wise the kitchen area. Bed spread is ripped and dingy No WiFi and no sign of it being connected. On going building work and landscaping using heavy duty deafening power tools. Pool area is dated with very old tatty fake grass The gents pool toilet is blocked smelly and won't flush. Staff especially the night porter are not interested in resolving matters. Plus side lovely views from the garden apartments note these still need to be refurbished Quiet in the evening. Ben the pool bar man is friendly.

We were disappointed overall but especially with our apartment here this year. We booked a premium apartment with jet2 but because of mobility and access, I emailed and asked for a room near the entrance. Beware if you do this that not all the apartments have been refurbished to premier as we were led to believe. In fairness website does say that your room might not be similar to that pictured. Hmm yes, no resemblance at all, very basic very warm poorly equipped apartment with hard uncomfortable single beds. See pictures. Air con is free but not that great, ditto Wi-Fi. Cleanliness and housekeeping you can’t fault although bedding is only a single sheet, no covers or cushions. This hotel has potential but needs improvement. Pool bar does not serve breakfast and not always any food at all, poor selection of drinks. Top bar never open, shame as the lounge is nice but under utilised. Very quiet if you like that, but dull atmosphere and staff indifferent. Obviously location is excellent. Do your homework and triple check what you’re paying for and if the refurb is complete before you book. 2025 may be much improved.

Just back from 2 weeks in Piskopiano Village with my wife and three boys and had a fantastic holiday. We were worried about the negative reviews but our entire stay was hassle free and perfect. That’s not to say the apartments themselves are five star accommodation but they were perfectly fine for us. We knew the apartments had recently been sold and the new owners have done a decent job to get them up to standard for this summer before a major renovation in the winter. Everything worked fine and was spotlessly clean and the complex itself is in a great location set in lovely grounds with an amazing view down over Hersonissos. We originally had a two bedroom apartment at the back of the complex which we were happy with but we were offered a free upgrade to two superior rooms during our stay, presumably they needed our original room for someone else. The superior rooms were fantastic and had a great view from the balconies. All the rooms had free air con, a good size fridge, coffee machine, kettle and toaster and small ring for cooking. The cleaners seemed to come to change sheets and wash the floors every day, which was great but not necessary a lot of the time. There are a lot of steps as previous reviews have stated but this was our fifth time staying in the villages and all our previous accommodations were similar. As said in most other reviews, the pools are very deep but we didn’t find this a problem as long as we ensured our youngest children wore arm bands and didn’t go into the pool when we weren’t there. The pool bar severed limited food and drinks and closed at 6pm and the complex was very quiet in the evenings but this suited us fine. There was a nice atmosphere around the pool area during the day with different nationalities mixing together and children playing together around the pool and table tennis table etc. All staff were friendly and approachable and we encountered nothing negative in any way and look forward to returning once renovations have been completed next year.

Where to start?? The location is fantastic. Your slap bang in the middle of Piskopiano and Koutoulafari…2 beautiful villages. In the evening you really know you’re somewhere special. If you’re after authentic Greece then this is the place for you. Hersonissos is just down the hill (a 10/15 minute walk) It’s a lively town that to be honest we didn’t spend too much time in. The beach is lovely and there’s lots to do…But it’s young and lively which is fine if that’s what you’re after. It wasn’t what we were after. The Piskopiano villas are basic. It’s proper self catering. The air con was free (no surcharge) and the whole grounds are really lovely. Very well designed. The staff are fantastic and will help you with every chance they get. It has 2 pools, both very deep! I don’t know who that that was a good idea but it wasn’t 🤣 To be honest the whole place needs a few quid spending on it. However it is what it is and when your in such lovely surroundings you can suck it up. There were plenty of families still having lots of fun in the pool so don’t let it put you off too much. There’s a few Spar shops a few minutes walk from the villas will cater for all your lunch needs (the villas don’t do much in the way of food which is daft!). The villas have a pool bar with Ben (a great guy) serving drinks until 18.00 when his shift finishes. The beds are comfy and the cleaners come in everyday and give everything a spruce up. It just needs a few quid spending on it! One of the pools was a bit cloudy, the bar doesn’t really do lunch or breakfast, the air con is good but not great, the table tennis table is fun but withered. It’s madness really because this place has fantastic location and could be a self catering gold mine! Overall if you get it for the right price then do it!! As I’ve said the villages are beautiful and the staff are great. The local restaurants do some wonderful Greek food and there’s a local cafe ‘Socrates’ that does some yummy Greek fast food at a really good price. You can’t knock it unless it cost you a fortune! 4/5 but could so easily be a five with a bit of TLC!
