Reserved the GreenTree based on O.K. reviews and I try to stay at non-brand name hotels. (Give business to the little guy); however, I might change my philosophy! Upon check-in, we were given a multi-paragraph, fine print, agreement listing all the DON'TS and requiring signatures or initials at each paragraph. No pets, No Smoking, etc. All O.K. but a little off-putting to be asked to agree to the MANY DON'TS... Almost needed an attorney for the fine print! One questionable item was the surprise $10 a day Service Charge!?!?! But what the heck... figured the housekeeping staff got the money making up for the non-tippers. WRONG! When no housekeeping was done the next day... we were told that the "Service Charge" was like a resort fee LOL! Resort??? AND that we must not of read the sign that said housekeeping must be requested. WOW! We were so busy reading the fine print of the DON'T agreement, that we didn't see a sign IF there was one at check in???? I don't think it was there when we checked in. In fact, the next day, when we went through the lobby. Guess what? NO SIGN!!! It's NOT the $10/night... It's the shady circumstances AND the whole principle of adding extra fees to a mediocre hotel and trying to pass it off as a Resort Fee The GreenTree was an O.K. hotel and the ADA wheelchair room was done fairly well; HOWEVER... the GreenTree IS TIRED! Definitely needs updating! One more minor issue... the pillows could have been used as bricks! When I asked a housekeeper if they had any other pillows, I was snarled at and told, "That's what we have!" They were NOT busy... maybe 6 cars in the parking lot. NEVER AGAIN!
