The Front Desk staff was always friendly and helpful but I would like to especially thank Dena for going the extra mile. We had a lot of family there for a funeral. Dena made sure we had everything we needed even though she was also helping a large group at the same time. She made us feel welcomed. We also enjoyed being able to have the whole family meet up in the Baxter's bar area the night before the funeral. The bar area was a great place for our family to re unite with everyone after many years. All in all it was a great stay!

EL CONQUISTADOR. HIT OR MISS? WHO AM I? I was a solo traveler, attending a conference for 2.5 days. I had a double room w/balcony facing the casitas. Rm 1225 near the elevators, stairs, and parking lot. WHAT IS MY OVERALL IMPRESSION? I have read mixed reviews on several travel platforms about this property. Which is a quandary. For starters, the resort is built on a mountain. If your room is outside of the main hotel, there will be walking involved... and possibly huffing and puffing. I'm pretty fit and it was 100° plus outdoors and I had to take an extra breath or so. But I learned well. Don't forget anything in the car. Perhaps because I was here during a conference I lucked out. I experienced excellent guest relations, restaurant services, and enjoyed the property feverishly. I watched three movies in my room, slept well and was refreshed throughout my stay. The biggest bang for me was that the property is located within an established and well developed community. I had a car so all of the conveniences I have as a San Diego city girl were within 2 miles of this property (Walmart, Sprouts, restaurants, Dollar Tree, CVS, gas). There is even an aquatic center with water slides, pools and fun less than two miles away. Hold up! the Sabino Canyon and Santa Catalina hiking were 4-15 miles. I mean, this was perfect for me and my interests. If I had more days, I might have enjoyed the pool and fire pits. Since I've never been to Tucson and the MOUNTAINS were speaking directly to my soul, I pursued outdoor endeavors. Were The Resort Activities Accurate? The resort activities matched the calendar. The piano musician was delightful. I ate here the first night, at the bar which was a chicken poblano quesadilla. The chicken white meat was tough, boiled and bland so I only ate one triangle. But it was big enough for two. Since I had my own transportation it wasn't worth eating at the hotel. TELL ME A BIT ABOUT THE ROOMS? The hotel prides itself on cleanliness and sanitation with fixated stickers on bathroom mirrors. I assure you this may not be communicated to housekeeping. This needs to be improved. The room I stayed in was 3.8/5. WHAT WAS CHECKOUT RESPONSE? At check-out, I received a lovely! ”I hope you enjoyed your stay text.” Last, you can literally watch the sunrise right from the property. Perhaps your own balcony. Winning! WHAT WERE THE THUMBS DOWN? Lighting in the bathroom and the vanity area sucks for makeup application Hot water was warm Slow water sink flow Shower head needs to be replaced, I think a bird would appreciate the shower. Bath gel empty. I brought my own but I do still check. HIGH FIVES Aesthetically inviting property. If your profession is landscape architect, kudos. Love the hotel lobby and entry doors. Plenty of small quaint and quiet areas to read, study, chat, convene, or enjoy the scenery. Linda Vista trail can be accessed from the property. Un lugar muy hermoso, hay muchas cosas que hacer, las habitaciones están muy limpias y son cómodas. El personal de aparcacoches puede ser un poco más amable y servicial. Pero en general, el resto del personal fue muy amable y servicial. Buena experiencia, recomendaría alojarse en un hermoso lugar como este.

En primer lugar, digo que mis hijos tuvieron una experiencia desagradable con algunos comentarios raciales/abusos de otros niños (no hay culpa del hotel). Ella nos informó de lo que pasó y no podemos agradecerle lo suficiente por estar de pie para nuestros muchachos (6 y 7). Chris M es el director de banquetes que oyó esto y fue más allá y más allá como nunca he visto en mi vida. Hablaba con la familia de los otros niños, nos cuidó y realmente aseguró que mis chicos estaban bien. No se detuvo allí. Chris debe haber informado a otros empleados de nuestra experiencia y la atención y el apoyo que han proporcionado ALL es inmenso. No sólo en el momento del incidente, sino toda nuestra estancia. Overall Great hotel nice property. Room was clean and bed comfy! Check in experience: 1 star, someone needs to learn customer service! I checked in as part of a group that was using the hotel for a conference. When I checked in I asked to block room charges. I gave my card and then told my card was declined. I asked how much was attempting to be charged? Answer $1300 for a 4 night stay? I asked for clarification well “incidentals” are the full stay plus $104 a night! *** not once was this communication. The only solution from the manager was to split it between card, again ***. After 30 mins of “discussion” finally got to blocking room charges which I asked at the start and to charge only the 4 day stay. Ok that is what I wanted to do no biggie. Restaurants: the grill by the pool AMAZING! Great food decent price for resort food. The restaurant inside by the coffee bar short staffed and horrible service! Waited 30 mins to be served then no refills BUT HAD TO PAY the mandatory 22% gratuity for non existing service. They knew they had a group with a few hundred guest and should have staffed appropriately. The HUGE and I mean huge bath tub was a little hard to maneuver, having to hike your leg to touch your nose to get it over the edge made bath time challenging. If you wanted a bath it took close to 45 mins to get the water to a bath level unsure how long to fill it up, someone please time it! Other then that conference room was great and was cleaned set up as requested, air conditioning was rough but it is summer in Tucson so that was expected.

Sin duda alguna volvería a quedar en Best West, siempre es un lugar limpió, muy buen desayuno, esta cercas del hospital y centro comercial muy grande, mucho lugares para comer al rededor. Un lugar muy tranquilo tengo años quedando ahí cada que voi a Tucson.
