Welcome to Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch, a historic retreat at the base of Gates Pass in the heart of Tucson Mountain Park. With over 100 years of history, our 90-acre guest ranch features unique, eco-friendly stone homes crafted by trailblazer Margaret Spencer—MIT's first female architecture graduate. Just minutes from downtown restaurants, every stay promises beauty, history, and inspiration. Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch is more than a place to stay; it's an experience. Set among striking desert landscapes, our ranch connects directly to major trailheads, letting you explore Tucson Mountain Park’s trails right from your doorstep. After a day of adventure, relax by our pool and hot tub or take in the sunset over the saguaro-studded hills. Every home is a work of art, blending into the landscape with its unique architecture and eco-friendly design. With over a century of heritage, the ranch holds a timeless charm that sets it apart. For a select few, there may even be an opportunity to view the private art collection of Robert Spencer and family. This rare experience is offered at the owners' discretion, reflecting the deeply personal nature of the collection. Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch offers a unique opportunity to enjoy desert beauty, architectural heritage, and an authentic connection to history. We invite you to experience the legacy of this extraordinary retreat. About the Ranch Renovations: The Las Lomas Ranch hosted John Wayne, Clark Gable, and Eleanor Roosevelt in its prime. The owners and hosts are restoring units, most built in the 1930s and 1940s. While modernizing for guest, the historical vibe remains and is an important part of the restoration. We appreciate our guests understanding that we have crews working during the day (9am-5pm) to get additional units available soon. Stay and be a part of helping us restore the Ranch to its splendor! Escape to Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch – Where Adventure and Relaxation Meet At the Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch, you’re not just staying in the desert—you’re immersed in it. With 31 units (some currently undergoing beautiful restoration), our ranch offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and historic charm. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventure or a peaceful retreat, this is where you’ll find it. Explore the Best of Tucson Mountain Park: Just steps from your door, you can hike the ranch’s Wash, which leads you directly to the famous Yetman Trailhead in 15 minutes.
