Ascot Bush Lodge

Really pretty "room" being on a yacht the space is compact but comfortable. Well equipped with a fridge and air-conditioning. Private allusions are at the start of the short jetty leading to the yacht. Enjoyed the 2 nights

Hi, we attended a swimming gala and stayed over for 5 nights with two of your swimmers who were attending the gala. We stayed in the chalets which were sufficient for our needs. Clean and serviced daily. The best part of our stay was the amazing staff. We ate at the restaurant every night, food was absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef. The staff were bubbly, friendly and amazing, they made our stay memorable and we will most definitely be back, hopefully next year when the new 50m indoor swimming pool built at St. Charles College is open and hosting galas. Last point is that the gardens and outdoor settings are divine!

Friends, some from around the globe, gathered in Pietermaritzburg for our annual school reunion weekend. A bunch of us all stayed at the Ascot Bush Lodge and the experience, location and fun had was nothing short of excellent. Special mention to Marie, who manages the establishment. She was so welcoming and ensured that we all had great fun whilst there. The breakfasts are superb and the overall menu is spot on, catering for everyone. We all agreed that we would be back for our next gathering and Ascot will be our first choice for accomodation whilst there. Thanks to everyone at the lodge who contributed to a superb weekend!

Although the staff were amazing and the concept is great, the location isn't ideal. The highway is very noisy and the factories in close proximity give poor air quality. The walls in our room were full of mold and we had to move the children's beds away from the walls. Shower also had spots of mold. Lots of gecko droppings on the bedding too. The restaurant was lovely and setting is beautiful though.

Was a one night stay over.very pleasant booking experience. Everything met our needs . Beautiful garden restaurant and lake . Lovely dining experience.loved the quietness . A perfect venue for a wedding or special function. Will definitely visit again!

Situated in Pietermaritzburg which is a filthy city - not a place I would recommend to visit unless you are bringing kids to university or school - Ascot Bush Lodge is a quaint accommodation place with fantastic reception staff and food and beverage manager, Gavin.
