A second cabin is located on the property and can be rented, if available, and more space is needed. The cabin is less than a mile to the entry gate of Mt Rainier. The Park service has started requiring timed entry permits for entering the park from May 24th through September 2nd in 2024. You can get your permits on the Recreation dot gov website. Make sure you get your ticket for the Paradise corridor. If you don't get your permit, you can still enter the park before 7am, or after 3pm.Ashford is a rural and remote community. Rainier National Park. Skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking or just strolling down and hanging by the river - this area offers it all. It is a year-round get-away. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet wooded setting surrounded by a nice garden with deck, garden furniture, BBQ and wood fire pit area. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second and third bedrooms have queen beds and the family room has a queen size Murphy bed. The open kitchen, dining and living area features table seating for eight people, couches and a cozy gas fire place. There is a laundry/mud room with washer and dryer, an attached garage as well as a carport. The house is furnished with linens, towels, bedding, a Wifi connection and a fully stocked kitchen. The Crystal River Ranch community offers several walking trails, a playground, a meadow with horse stables, a community center and a local herd of elk wandering the grounds. There are no businesses in the Crystal River Ranch but a few stores and one dining/tavern option are two miles west in Greenwater.
