Absolutely loved our stay here!! Had a quick single overnight and stayed at Room 5 in the lodge. The lodge and its garden/pond were very cute. The lodge itself is an older building, but we had a fantastic stay. Our room wasn’t anything crazy, but it had everything we needed. the bed was memory foam and super cozy. We expected it to creak when we sat down but instead we silently just melted into it and had such a good nights sleep. There was a little tv set with a DVD player, and the parlor has a whole wall full of DVDs. So we went down there and picked out some DVDs like when we were kids and just watched movies and fell asleep. The wall AC unit worked well and we were very comfortable sleeping. We passed on the included breakfast because we packed our own, so can’t speak to that. But a fantastic stay. Will absolutely come again and recommend to family and friends!

Getting into the hotel the security checked all of our bags and coolers and got mad at my kids for not having any IDs we had to walk through the gaming floor to check into the hotel and the staff there was nice in the daytime but at night time were very very rude and yelled at my kids when we got back from a concert that they couldn't be out of our rooms and we tried asking for food options the front desk workers said they wouldn't know because they are hotel workers not food workers the rooms had garbage left in there and the bath tub was so gross the water came up in the tub with hair and dirt when you turned the water on we tried to ask for more pillows and blankets the front desk workers told us no we tried to brush off the negative vibes all around there and went to go gamble and tried to cash out our tickets and ended up getting yelled at by the cashier and her bad attitude made me not care to gamble anymore I just went back to my room and fell asleep each night we came back it was hard to get back into our hotel room with the security guards trying to ID my kids it will be my first and last time going to this place it is not kid friendly and the smoke smell is super strong and we felt unwanted

Positive Aspects: The staff are delightful, and I appreciated the small convenience store, lobby coffee, in-room coffee, fridge, included breakfast, and free parking. Areas for Improvement: While the property exterior and lobby appear updated, the rooms do not match this standard. The dated or damaged wallpaper, curtains, bathroom tile, and fixtures show obvious signs of neglect, with visible holes and sloppy repairs. The furniture seems to have been updated in the last decade, but the beds were uncomfortable and had nylon mattress covers that slept warm despite the wall-unit AC being set at 68 degrees. The carpet was dingy and obviously frayed down the center of the room. The phone appeared to have not been properly cleaned over several visits as the cradle was full of dust/gunk. Perhaps given the limited local hotel options there is no motivation to address these rather obvious issues which were consistent during both of my recent stays and reflects an overall lack of commitment to quality that impacts comfort and value. I do hope the management will prioritize room renovations and repairs as this could be a great hotel. Despite the convenient location in central Gig Harbor, I will seek alternative accommodations on my next visit.
