Premier Inn Pickering

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the room assigned to us was for disabled guest i guess , room spacious , clean but the room smelled of urine. I cannot pinpoint where the smell was coming from but i think its either the bed or the duvet. We did not bother to ask the staff for us to relocate rooms or change beddings because we arrived very late at 3am. We eere tired and sleepy so just slept on it and the following day we were rushing to get ready to attend a wedding. When we arrived at night for our second night stay, we were dis appointed that our room wasn't cleaned. We did not have clean cups and coffee to make. This was a bad experience for us staying in a premiere inn hotel.

Unable to have an evening meal as 1st night they had no space and second night there was a shortage of food in the kitchen. Also some items missing/ not available at Breakfast and coffee machine broken Poor experience of the normal standards I've had in the past from Premier Inn

First impressions of Pickering Premier Inn were good. There is plenty of parking which is now free. The staff member on reception was welcoming and friendly. We booked a meal deal in the restaurant the first night. On entering the restaurant we soon became aware that this premier inn needs more staff, especially at peak meal times when the manager had to help the chef so that wait times for food could be reduced. Everyone in the restaurant with us had to wait for up to 30 minutes from ordering to getting any food at all. My husband is vegan and we were on meal deals. He does not like tomato soup( the only starter on the menu) so opted for the plant burger main and wanted the chocolate torte vegan option for dessert. Very annoyingly this was not available so we were left short changed on his meal deal. The staff did not seem bothered about this! NOT ACCEPTABLE Premier Inn! We opted to eat out in Pickering on our second night which was a much better option! The bed in our room (204) was so hard and uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress. Causing us to have poor sleep on both nights of our stay. I actually spent a portion of both nights in the chair as it was more comfortable than the bed!! This was the first time we had stayed here but don't think we will be returning any time soon unless we read better reviews and the highlighted problems have been resolved!
