It was a group of six (6) persons. We took our husbands and the kids to celebrate Father’s Day. We saw the Hotel advertising a Father Day Promotion which included Dinner, Breakfast, a bucket of beers (Carib, Stag, Pilsner) for the dads. We were like this is a deal let’s get on it! Upon arrival everything went smoothly we were told that dinner was from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. My room was ok however my sister room was horrible. The AC was leaking, the cupboard was infront of the window so they couldn’t get sunlight. Long story short it looked nothing as advertised. We still decided to put that behind us as we know dinner and other things followed. When we arrived they give us the Father’s Day Menu. Here I’m thinking it was going to be something a little fancy(gourmet) it was burger and fries, a rice bowl, salads mind you it’s one item from the menu. This was a disaster!!!! On the flyer for the promotion they had a gourmet looking meal not fries and burger etc. False advertising indeed!!! The rice that my husband and son ordered was spoilt. On the same menu they gave us we were told that a non alcoholic beverage of our choice came with the meal. I was like ok can I have a strawberry smoothie please and my sister ordered the same. The waitress confirmed that we can have it, can you believe 15 minutes later she came to our table to inform us that the smoothie was not to be selected and we would have to pay for the drinks! This is in no way the customers fault as the staff should have known to give us options if the smoothie was not apart of the special. Our husbands were not impressed at all. We asked to see what the breakfast menu would look like and the waitress gave us which were Omlets and other items. When we ask for the omlets they have none!!!! Around 11:30a.m I left my room to go to my sisters and when I came back around 11:37a.m the card wasn’t working!!! All in all this was a waste of my money!!! The customer service was poor I even went to the front desk to express how I felt and the Supervisor took my room number and apologized. I’m so happy to be out of there and I’ll never return!!!!! Runway Hotel you guys failed miserably!

Really disappointed with the room. Needs an urgent refurbishment. Stayed 3 nights and beds not made, towels not changed. Shower needs a thorough deep clean. Room faced the motorway so was very noisy. Restaurant and bar was very good. Seemed to have private parties during Christmas.

Deserved 3.5 really, was a great option when flying early. Check in staff very good and staff in the restaurant were amazing, especially Candice. Rooms were functional, comfortable, and the restaurant pool in the centre of the hotel is a feature. Close to the airport is a bonus.

Let me start by firstly saying this was my 10th wedding anniversary and I booked the meals inclusive package, which would have included dinner, breakfast and lunch. Check in is supposed to be 3pm and check out at 12 noon. We arrived at the hotel around 4:30 pm only to be told the room was not quite ready. This took approx 45 minutes to be finished. The room was clean and spacious, however that night was live dj entertainment so the music was very loud and disturbing. Dinner was from an a la carte menu which is very minimal. Choices include a burger, or a salad bowl or a rice bowl. My wife choose a rice bowl which included fried rice, vegetables and chicken, only to be told their is no chicken, so she choose beef. The beef was very chewy and stiff. Breakfast was buffet with a very limited option. Not even a fruit. And lunch was the same boring Ala carte menu from dinner. A lot of flies could be seen in the dining area.The pool is in the middle of the building with very little privacy. Would definitely not recommend this place. Check out was supposed to be 12pm, only to realize around 11:30 when we tried to use the key to enter the room we were unable to do so. That was the icing on the cake. Will certainly not be staying at this place again.

If you are looking for great customer service, cleanliness, peaceful environment, please stay at the Holiday Inn Express that's 2 minutes away from this awful hotel. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

I’m a Trinidadian businessman who lives in Atlanta GA I saw this hotel advertised on social media and I decided to give is a try. As a businessman we always want the best our money can buy. Yes and it did happen that way. I had a wonderful stay the staff was very helpful and courteous they never bothered me in anyway. I never had any negative treatment from anyone of the staff members. Even the security staff was great. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone that I know heading to Trinidad weather for business or pleasure. I want to give a very special thanks to everyone for your excellent hospitality and I want to say yes my next stay will definitely be with you guys. Thank you from CEO of Flaveney Enterprise.

My wife and I booked a room at Runway Hotel Piarco for the night of 28th May, it was right after our wedding and we were due to fly out the following morning. We'd arranged for a special 'honeymoon' package for the room we were staying in. We arrived at the hotel at around 2am and upon entering my father in law asked to use the restroom, to which he received a rude response from an employee by the name of Keiron; "well this washroom is not for customers, put down the seat when you done." Understandable, the delivery of this statement was less than friendly but we let it slide. Father in law came out of the washroom and again was rudely accosted by Keiron saying "yuh flush the toilet??" We immediately took offense to this, as we are not apes, we understand cleanliness and hygiene and this is not the way to advise people, especially people out to spend their money in your establishment. Runway Hotel please train your staff on proper customer service etiquette, you can do better. We stayed at another hotel.

I wish I had read the reviews first I would have avoided this stinker . I visited the restaurant and was not a guest in the hotel. What hits you first is an air of indifference, no-one seemed to care that you were there. I thought I was invisible and eventually had to wave for attention. I should have worked out what this indifference meant, made my excuses and left. Strange that it was such a struggle to get any attention as I was the only person i the restaurant and there were lots of staff (which again should have been a clue). I realized the staff were clueless as well as indifferent when I asked for a glass of wine. The barman reached for a bottle which had the dregs of half a glass which had been sitting there he said for 'only' a couple of days. He went to pour it into a glass from a freshly opened bottle. When I said the dregs would taint the fresh wine, this seemed to him to be a bit of truly esoteric knowledge. The food was so awful I left 95% of it. I did eat the shrimps on the top of the dish, so they charged me 50% of the bill. Horrible experience. The only thing the reviews got wrong was on the rudeness of the manager. The reviews claim she is not educated and is rude. Neither of these were true on my visit. That manager has moved on. But the rest of the reviews are true. My boss said it was my fault for going. Why go to a Trinni restaurant and expect good Thai food? She has a point.

This is not an airport hotel but a discotheke. I was on friday and saturday. They told me that there would be music until 12 pm. Sure there was. I think this is not why you go in a hotel nearby the airport. You should have an early flight! It is very noisy. The place were they play the music are surrounded by the rooms. It's terrible The breakfast can be better. Coffee you must make yourself. The machine was not working. Doors of your room are closing bad. Airco's are working but are old and need to be cleaned. The people at the reception are helpfull. No complaints about that. Perhaps I was on the wrong days and is the music only on friday and saturday but I think even then....it's a hotel on 1.8 km from the airport. People come to rest, not to listen to music until 12 pm
