We stayed at the Premier Inn Peterborough North for 2 nights midweek in September, as we had a wedding close by. When we checked in we requested a room on the 1st floor, which the reception staff were happy to facilitate for us. The room itself was OK, but the hotel itself is generally looking tired. We did hear during our stay that a refurbishment is due soon, which should hopefully help. The car park is a good size and we had no issues, even when returning late just be mindful of the potholes! What was most disappointing is the adjacent “Paul Pry”, that forms the restaurant for the Premier Inn. We were looking forward to breakfast, but due to an emergency and the oven suffering an issue, this was closed for the duration of our visit. The staff were apologetic, fortunately there are options available at the adjacent retail park, with Starbucks, McDonald’s and a Morrisons cafe. Overall not a bad stay, but for the price I’d expect better from a Premier Inn. This hotel also seems popular with trades too, so be mindful of noise in the corridors from 06:30/07:00 onwards.
