Hotel Puccini

We stayed for two nights with family. The staff, cleanliness and location were outstanding. The hotel is situated well a short walk from the centre of town, and the facilities are excellent. Unfortunately, we had to adjust our stay due to travel arrangements changing, and the staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Great stay at Hotel Puccini, we had a very friendly welcome at check in as we checked into room 320 which was Logan’s had great outside space with views to the lake . Yet again we got a great welcome in the breakfast room which had a great selection of hot and cold food , cleaning staff were very professional as our room was cleaned whilst we ate breakfast, we hope to return sometime soon ,

I could not fault this hotel in any way. The reception staff were all incredibly friendly and could not do enough to help us anytime we asked them for any assistance. The room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room, two balconies and well air conditioned. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice and again the staff were very attentive. The pool area was beautifully kept and there was never any problem getting a sunbed.

We stayed five nights in this hotel. We could not find the hotel from start to finish. The hotel is around a 15-minute walk from the old town and a perfect distance if you enjoy a short walk in the evening, time to go in to get something to eat. The hotel staff are all excellent. The reception staff were always there to help us in any way. The room we had was spacious, air conditioned and cleaned daily to a really high standard. The pool area is really lovely and clean. Never a problem getting a sun bed and again clean and spacious

Generally we had a nice enough stay. The pool, especially the kids section which was ideal for our toddler, was good (although a toilet by the pool would be a good idea), the location was okay - close to the lake but a good 15 minute walk into the centre - and the room was spacious and comfortable enough. The hotel has some stupid rules like having to walk bare foot on the artificial grass outside (which gets very hot!) and not being allowed to use the pool after checkout - leaves a very sour taste in the mouth that they won’t accommodate guests, especially one with a toddler who just wanted to enjoy the pool for one last hour before leaving. Appreciate that the hotel is fully booked but there were only 3 other families using the pool at this point and we would be leaving before other guests could check in! One day the pool also didn’t open until 11am (supposed to open at 10) - maybe they need to stick to their arbitrary “rules” as well. No iron available to use at all, given people are travelling and clothes get creased in a suitcase, it wouldn’t be difficult to have a few available for guests to use. We were put in a room that could only be accessed via stairs which was quite tricky with a pram - as the hotel is praised on its customer service, they certainly didn’t go out of their way to provide great service to us. Whilst the hotel is only a 3* and our review reflects that, the price does not reflect it!

My husband, 5 year old son and I returned from a 10 night stay at the hotel and it is, hands down, the best hotel we have stayed at in terms of customer service. All the staff are so attentive and really seem to care. The family room we got on the 1st floor was huge, cleaned daily (mostly when we were at breakfast so they clearly have a really good comms system) and towels changed daily. The breakfast was just perfect - fresh and what you’d expect. Fruit, yoghurt, cereals, plenty of pastries/bread, cheeses, meats, eggs, sausages. The pool area was perfect - lots of comfy beds and we never had issues getting one. You can rent pool towels from the hotel for 5 euros per person for the duration of your stay. There’s a kids pool, as well as the regular pool and a fantastic little pool bar. There are 5 cabanas which looked great, but they’re for exclusive use for 5 of the superior rooms. Location wise, it’s a 10-15 minute stroll along the lake to the main area with lots of lovely restaurants, souvenir shops, the harbour, a fountain which all the kids were obsessed with running through and a panoramic bar with play park. A 2 minute walk from the hotel was a very small harbour where we hired a boat for a few hours. There’s also a bar/ice cream stand and small trampolines. There are free buses to Gardaland and Movieland from the train station. However, the train station was too far for us to walk there in the heat with our 5 year old (would’ve taken around half an hour, possibly longer with little legs) so we got a taxi from the hotel for 20 euros, which I thought was reasonable. All in all, we had such a fantastic family holiday and can definitely see us returning to Hotel Puccini.
