Sonnenhof Genusshotel & Appartements

I really like this hotel, located in a great location. great service, friendly staff, cleanliness. in winter, after skiing, it is very pleasant to relax in the SPA, and in the evening it is pleasant to spend time in the hotel restaurant with delicious food. I think that we were in this hotel three times, says a lot!

This was faultless. The hotel is family run to an exceptional level of cleanliness, efficiency and quality. The service is efficient and friendly and very welcoming. We stayed half-board and never bothered to eat a la carte the food was so good Pertisau is brilliant at every level.

In Pertisau village, on a beautiful lake Achensee, Sonnenhof hotel and a stand alone apartment house are indulging facilities. We stayed here one week: one night at the hotel and the rest at the one bedroom apartment. Both are freshly renewed, extremely well equipped by quality bath and kitchen accessories. The interior is modern, yet traditional. Large windows with sliding door to enjoy magnificent mountain views. The food at the Essbar was excellent. We booked this 4-star family run hotel directly from their web site as they gave us better deal than any hotel booking site. Hotel is located on the quiet side of Pertisau village about 1 km from the Achensee lake. You can take a bus from Jenbach train station, it runs once per hour, or book a taxi from hotel for 25€. Half board is very good option as Pertisau is a tiny little village without many dining options. We stayed in the main building on the 3rd and top floor in room #301. It was spacious about 60m2 and had two big wardrobes for our hiking gear and other clothes. Living room and bedroom were both big and comfortable although double bed could have been wider. Bathroom had two sinks, toilet room, bath, and separate shower closet, but be careful as the floor gets very slippery. I preferred to use the spa area downstairs with better showers and facilities. Bathroom and suite in general were very dim, so it really needs an upgrade for lights. Small kitchenette had fridge, cooking unit, basic dishes, and a dishwasher. There were two balconies which had nice views (name of the room is Panorama Suite so you may expect that), but were covered with bird poo, which was never cleaned although asked twice. Instead, big black artificial birds were nailed on the walls without any significant affect, the other one had bird poo on it’s head a day later 😊 Guests are allocated own tables for entire stay, one indoors and one outdoors, and when weather allowed, we dined outdoors which was nice. Breakfast was served from 8 to 10.30 and was more than adequate. Buffet had everything you can think of eating, fresh coffee was brought to your table and eggs were prepared for your liking. There’s menu on the table where you select main courses for evening. There are always four options, 2 meats, 1 fish and 1 vegetable. A real plus was that you can select if you want normal portion, small portion, or kid’s size portion. Why don’t all restaurants have different sizes? Dinner is served from 18.00 onwards, which was nice for us early birds. It included soup, superb buffet with salad bar and great selection of starters (I could have eaten just that!), main course and dessert. If you had any room left, there were nice selection of cheeses. Wine list was inclusive, but also house wines were great, and if you didn’t finish the bottle, it was stored away for the next evening. Spa area was downstairs with several steam rooms. As a Finn, I used Finnish sauna which was heated daily at 14.00. It was big but had too few and little stones to produce constant and proper steam (löyly in Finnish), although it was better than many I’ve been in the Alps. Name of it was also a bit confusing: Finische Altholtz-sauna. In Finland saunas are called wooden only when they are heated up by burning wood in the oven instead of using electricity, not if they are built with wood. Once again my wife and I had a lovely holiday at The Sonnenhof. Fantastic service, amazing food, lovely ambience, great room with an amazing view. The Spa is a really lovely place to be, so relaxing, spotlessly clean. Highly recommended in every way you can think. The standards are very high. Nothing is left untouched regarding your experience. Every team member was lovely and made us both feel special and very well. Thank you once again. We will be back.

Wunderschönes gepflegtes Hotel mit seperatem Appartmenthaus, in denen man alles hat und bekommt, was man benötigt. Seit einigen Jahren sind wir lieber im Appartmenthaus, da wir dort mit unserem Hund freier sind (Brötchendienst incl. wenn man nicht im Hotel frühstücken möchte). Aber auch das Hotel läßt es an nichts fehlen, super Frühstüksbuffet, angenehmer moderner Spa-Bereich und ein tolles Abendessen. - Kann man alles auch als Appartmentbewohner in Anspruch nehmen und nutzen. Hervorzuheben sind besonders die fleißigen Angestellten, die zur Sonnenhof-Familie oft schon seit vielen Jahre gehören (was immer ein gutes Zeichen ist): alle sehr freundlich und herzlich und sehr kompetent! Wir können uns mittlerweile ein Jahr ohne Urlaub im Sonnenhof bei Familie Huber und der Sonnenhof-Familie nicht mehr vorstellen. Immer wieder gerne!

Super freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption, sehr schönes Zimmer, gutes Essen, hübscher kleiner Saunabereich und eine sehr professionelle und dem Gast zugewandte Chefin: Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal für ein Langlauf-Wochenende hier und kommen sehr gerne wieder! Einen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team!

Gastfreundschaft in Perfektion, unaufdringlich aber immer aufmerksam... Wohlfühlatmosphäre in allen Bereichen des Hauses, freundlicher Empfang,aufmerksamer Restaurantservice, sehr nette und gründliche Zimmerfeen. Dazu eine für uns perfekte Lage. Unsere erste Woche im Sonnenhof war wunderbar und wir kommen bald wieder.
