Quality Inn

Quality inn Farmington mo has gone down. Very seedy crowd, didn’t feel safe so went elsewhere. Room and hall smelled like tuna fish. Room smelled also like bleach. Not sure if there may be long term stays there. May explain the element we encountered.

Booked this hotel when the weather turned bad and we needed to get off the roads. Very disappointed -- we should have gone farther or stopped sooner! Check-in clerk was not friendly at all. He made me feel like I was troubling him even though I had made my reservation online, so there shouldn't have been much for him to do. When I did my reservation, I requested a first floor room since my husband has mobility issues. The clerk didn't say anything about not being able to honor that request, so when I got my key, was surprised to get a second floor room. When I asked, he became very defensive and said I made my reservation so late that I shouldn't expect them to be able accommodate special requests. The property doesn't have an elevator and the stairs are at the end of each hall. There was parking near the door by the stairs, but when we tried our keys at the door, they wouldn't work. When I went back to the desk, the clerk said the card readers were broken on the outside doors, so you could only go out them, not come in them. Room itself wasn't bad. Breakfast room is only 4 small tables which were full the whole time we were there. They were out of eggs, sausage and milk so I had to go to the desk to ask them to replenish everything. The same person covering the breakfast area was also the clerk on duty. He seemed quite annoyed to have to quit watching something on his phone to tend to breakfast. It took at least 15 minutes before any food came out. In the meantime, several people just left. I realize this is a Quality Inn, but it was below standards.

Was in town to attend my fathers funeral, last minute. This hotel was the only one that had rooms open and upon arrival immediately knew why. This hotel seemed somewhat clean it was just run down, outdated, and old, no money seemed to be put back into it to updated anything, carpets, pillows, paint, and so on. breakfast was none existent, everything was always empty-everyday. The worst was the sheets on ALL our beds, they obviously had NOT been changed! Stains and odd looking marks were all over them, we got different ones and had to change them ourselves but still felt like we were sleeping in filth. We felt it was very pricey for what you are getting, and by the way there is no elevator so if your on the second floor you carry your bags up the stairs. Just seemed like it is a poorly run hotel with bad management.

I can't even give this stay 1 star. First, I was given a room, when the door closed it wouldn't latch. I was given a second room, there was no kleenex, the smoke alarm was falling off the wall and there was mold on the ceiling tile. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6-9. I got there at 8:00 and there was not any hot food. I went to the vending machine and the snack machine was completely empty. My room keys only worked half the time. I had to keep getting them reset

Spent 8 days. Had to ask for towels everyday. The hotel charged me double and I had to FIGHT to reverse the charges. Then to top this sh*t show off, bed bugs REALLY FOR $88 A NIGHT!!! Never again and no one I work with either. Gross hotel, run by dirty people!!!

Check in was easy, and when we got to our room, it looked clean. We had a king bed room, Microwave & Fridge, Coffeemaker, Couch, Desk, Large Vanity outside the bathroom, Good shower, good towels, and comfortable bed. Everything else was downhill! They advertise hot breakfast, and put out 10 sausage links, some powdered eggs, bread, and cereal! Toaster did not work, waffle iron did not work, microwave did not work, no pastries or muffins. No soap for the sink or tub, 1 coffee bag and one that had been opened. Lumpy pillows, dingy wash cloths, and a large gob of something on top of the mop board in bathroom ( I sincerely hope that it was caulk). We would not stay there again!!!!!

The Pros The hotel is convenient off of interstate I-55. Rooms were clean. Several eating facilities close by. The Cons The outside of hotel was disgusting. There's trash absolutely all over the place. Broken beer bottles and bags of trash, unhealthy at best. We were told they have a hard time finding help....well how about taking an hour or so and do it yourself. Landscaping is lacking.......this used to be a very attractive building and surroundings. Mattresses are in bad need of upgrading. Very very hard. Miniature bar of soap and no towel bars.......shower water was luke warm to take a shower. Some electrical outlets were missing covers..... a hazard it would seem. Building itself is in need of freshening up.

We stayed in the 2nd floor jacuzzi suite. The bed was clean, bug free, comfortable, with lovely blankets and plenty of good quality pillows. The room was clean however could use a little maintenance. We had to make sure to pull the door closed a few extra times to make sure it latched. Perk- There was Enough hot water to have several relaxing baths in the jacuzzi tub. It felt like a treat in a small town. Breakfast was disappointing however the waffles are great. Everything else was watered down or out. Location- right off highway, across from fuel and Walmart. It was quiet and felt safe. Check in/out: they allowed us to check in early which I was very thankful for and even offered to pay extra. I had requested a late check out (noon instead of 11), when I called ahead of time they said they could do no problem, at check in they stated they could no longer accommodate that request. If I had known that earlier we might have changed hotels. But overall I would stay there again
