Toxotis Hotel

Arrived late in the early hours. Check in was quick and efficient and we made our way to our room...no 205. We quickly grabbed our night clothes and were looking forward to a few hours of sleep but when we got on the beds.....wow....we would have been just as comfortable on the floor! They were rock solid. So for a full week we never had a comfortable nights sleep. In the morning when we woke up we had a good look around the room, it was small and basic and had minimal storage. No drawers at all and only 5 coat hangers in the wardrobe. There was a small fridge but if you wanted water to put in it you'd have to buy it from a shop as the hotel does not provide bottled water. The shower head was loose and you had to hold it in your hand whilst showering. The rooms were attended to most days and beds made etc but the towels although supposedly clean had stains on and didn't really smell that fresh. However, the air con worked fine which was a plus point. First morning , we unpacked our stuff as best we could and headed off to breakfast. I have to say ... Breakfast is probably the worst meal of the three you'll have during your days here! The sausages were terrible....the bacon was hit and miss and sometimes tasted funny....the only real decent thing at breakfast was the eggs....fried or boiled....toast....and the pastries. The coffee is terrible. One of the worst we've had from an all inclusive hotel. If you chose tea, which wasn't too bad, there was no jug of milk to add to it and you'd need to use a milk shot from the coffee machine and it was frothy. Frothy tea is not nice! Lunch and Dinner are a little better and there are always some things you can find to eat but we found most times it was something and chips from the kids area. We ate out several nights in the week we were here just to get something really nice. Drinks were ok, the beer was better than I expected but you'd have to queue a lot at the pool area bar as there was only one person serving. Night time entertainment was almost non existent, I think there were a couple of nights with a violinist etc but not really that entertaining. The pool area was generally not too bad. The water was clean. The sunbeds, you could always get one if you looked around but there were also a lot of broken ones left lying around. These really need removing so nobody gets injured. There was a kids pool with slides but we got the feeling that it wasn't working as it should with water jets and splash features not turned on. The staff work long hours and that's probably why they don't come across that friendly. Overall, we would not return to this hotel. It has so much potential if someone would put the effort in.

Thank you so much to the amazing Toxotis Hotel – me and my family had a fantastic holiday from start to finish! The food was delicious every night, and the two entertainment girls were brilliant with both the kids and adults. I especially loved the water Zumba – such a fun way to stay active! The drinks were your typical all-inclusive options, but what really made the difference were the incredible bar staff, Dino and Anastasia. They were so friendly, welcoming, and patient – especially with my kids who took forever to decide what they wanted because there was so much choice! One of my sons has special needs and doesn’t eat a huge variety of foods, but Demetrius, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond. He made sure the kitchen prepared something he liked (usually pizza), which made such a difference to our experience. We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every moment. The local bars are great – we especially liked The Windmill, which had live acts every night and even a kids’ play area to keep the little ones happy. The beach is a gorgeous, calm cove about a 10-minute walk from the hotel – perfect for a relaxing day out. Overall, our holiday was a 10/10. Toxotis hotel, 3star budget with a 5star team. Arrived after 11.30pm given our keys to rooms and handed a sandwich from reception. Stayed in rooms 419/421 interconnecting door to rooms when asked staff unlocked for us. The rooms were spacious clean and modern. Re, take hangers with you. A kettle is in room but no hairdryer. Ac in rooms which is great for heat. Food was excellent lots of choice for breakfast lunch and dinner. The pool bar has snacks running from 3pm and food isn’t bad would suit anyone who is a plain eater with burgers chips toasties and spag bol. All in alcohol is good the beer is drinkable as for the wine it’s excellent, plenty on the cocktail menu. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels. The ladies that cleaned were always smiling and friendly. Demitris the restaurant manager is the hotels diamond. He and his staff go out of your way to make sure you have everything you need. Life guards are friendly and help customers if needed around pool area. The animation team do their job well especially with the kids. The language from them is Russian and Polish first, then English. The bar staff are the nicest people you could meet always a smile and chat. Entertainment seemed to be every second night they’d a violinist in, omg she was fantastic. Diana a Cabaret singer whose voice was awful in English each song was tone deaf but when she sang in her native tongue she was really good. Hotel is clean was being upgraded when we stayed, there was no noise or interference. Plenty of sun beds around the pool area and kids pool slides. Reception can arrange hire car for you as it’s same side of road we drive so it’s easy to get around the island. There is a small cabinet which has jewellery you can purchase from reception and pool towels to hire. Just a pity there isn’t a small shop supermarket attached to the hotel. Though a 5 minute walk takes you to the nearest. Pernera bars are good you’ve Lithinos which has its in house band a gem of a place, Sam is lovely. You’ve knights restaurant if you fancy a change from the hotel which is reasonably priced and then the windmill which has entertainment all week in it. Toxotis is not a huge complex over 4 floors a little tired in places but has the potential to be an excellent 5 star. It’s passion is its customers nothing is too much trouble. The staff wear their smiles with pride. 12 days we spent at the hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Although this is not the type of holiday we have taken over the years, an all inclusive holiday booked through EasyJet, our stay here was fantastic. This is due to Dimitri and his staff for making it a very pleasant experience and a holiday to remember. Other reviews have said the food quality is that of a 4 or 5 star hotel - we would whole heartedly agree with this. The bedrooms were very clean with very comfortable beds. Air conditioning was an added bonus as was the balcony, fridge and kettle. The pool/outside bar area was lovely - a great place to relax. Look forward to returning.

Don’t come here. The pool is green and has been closed since we got here. Everyone at the hotel has been complaining to the staff and their travel providers. People are wanting to fly home. Book a different hotel. The shower is broken and the food is hit and miss.

Overall I am very satisfied with the holiday, same as my family. I did ready before that rooms are tiny but it’s enough for a family of 2 + 1. You only sleep there ;) but the beds could be softer. Staff is very friendly, always polite and smiley. They are doing the atmosphere so good! Demetri welcomes all the guests, is very open, friendly to talk and remembers them too which is nice. The man behind a pool bar (longer hair) is also very very polite and positive, gives great advised what to see. The two brothers in the restaurant are very friendly too. The whole crew in general was great and there was not a person to let the team review down! Swimming pool is enough with the size and clean water, the sunbeds are very comfortable. The slides are fun too. Checking the other comments that there is not much food I honestly disagree. The selection is just perfect, not too much but food is fresh and tasty and you always find something to choose from. Breakfasts are very tasty too. Vegetables and salads are really delicious! Location is great, in a walking distance to the beach but also some attractions. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel too but would recommend a car to see more and save some time too :) The gym is more for athletes/ lifters as it’s quite old fashion but if you do weights would be enough. We didn’t experience any activities/entertainment as there were non during our stay but did have a violinist one night and she was great, played very very well. In general it’s a nice and friendly place to stay at.
