Our stay at Yr Hen Farcdy was the most cosy and hospitable B&B we had the pleasure of staying at on our tour of Wales. Mike and Sue are the most amazing hosts and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They have a wealth of information to share about the area and can point you to all the best attractions. Our accommodation was perfect and provided everything we needed. The magical garden setting is such a peaceful surrounding and make the place very special. The breakfast was outstanding and delicious and we felt it was one of the best breakfasts of our trip. We can highly recommend Yr Hen Farcdy and would definitely return.

We normally use hotels rather than B&Bs, and were mildly apprehensive before arrival, but Sue and Mike are warm and welcoming, yet respectful of privacy when needed. Two-bedroom self-contained flat, well supplied and equipped, clean and comfortable. Even the TV is good, and you can log into your own streaming service. Huge, freshly-cooked breakfast menu included. Location handy for Portmeirion, Snowdonia, and Anglesey, and Mike can advise about other places. Certainly the best stay in our entire trip.

Communication with the hosts is very good. Mike was flying solo for our visit and we found him engaging and helpful. The facilities are great and having a separate area to sit in was a bonus. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we had while traveling around the UK. It is a short drive from here to Portmeirion.

Fantastic warm, friendly & helpful - Mike, Sue (& Rusty) are brilliant hosts. The accommodation is warm, comfortable and nicely decorated. Great shower and facilities in general (no bath for those that like a bath). And their breakfasts are superlative. A beautiful garden to boot!

Warm and friendly welcome from Sue and Mike (and Rusty). A very clean, comfortable and cosy home. Secure bike storage available. Great evening meal and superb breakfast (You even get a badge when you eat all of it!!). Super generous hosts! Would return in a heartbeat!

Another great stay with Mike,Sue and Rusty spanner… this little place is great. Mike and Sue made us feel like part of their family and we couldn’t have been more welcomed. The home they share with visitors is spotless and cosy, the breakfast Mike makes is the best we’ve had and his homemade bread tops it all off. We’ve stayed here twice now and will 100% be register visitors to stay.

Hosts were absolutely wonderful. Made us so welcome throughout our stay. Accommodation really comfortable and in really relaxing environment. Breakfast first class. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Just enjoyed a lovely two night stay. The B&B is located in a beautiful peaceful setting within easy reach to nearby Portmeirion, Harlech and Porthmadog. Great location for those that like walking. Mike and Sue were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. They were very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to us wanting to know where to visit whilst there. Will definitely be returning.
