The High Dive Gili Gede by Ultimate Resorts

Planned this stopover a year ago and Lisa has been brilliant from the Start. Once arrived at the resort all staff have been great and fun to be around. Nigel is there most days to help ensure the place operates to standard. Always remember this is a beach front location with a dive operation so minor issues will happen like anywhere else but are quickly dealt with. Nigel and Lisa thrive to ensure all guests have a relaxing holiday and help or guidance is their plan. We stayed in the Loft and for two of us the two bedrooms and large living area gave us excellent space, plus a cooling balcony to relax on. Breakfast choice was good for such a small resort and food for evenings well prepared and tasty. From burgers to fish and chips to local dishes. Plus cool Bintangs to help relax on the sun beds. No spirits nor wine so if you have empty bags bring some. The dive operation boats run well and the eagle eyes Eddy and the other dive time eager to please. Staying here on this part of the island is pretty secluded and adds to the glorious weather. Take time to mix with the friendly locals in the village. Some guests staying a night or two wished they had booked longer ..but good for the resort they were full. Negatives…nothing if you want to relax

Brilliant stay and dive(s) here in July 2024! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, Eddie and Ahmed were our dive instructors and were both excellent whilst ID was brilliant front of house! The resort itself was well placed, idyllic and room nice and clean with good air con. The attached restaurant was very good tasty too! Communication with Lisa and Nigel pre-arrival was very helpful, making arranging things very easy.

Wir waren dort mit Freunden zum Tauchen, hatten dort 3 (von4) Bungalows direkt vorn am Restaurant und Strand und waren begeistert von der Qualität der Unterkunft und der Freundlichkeit der Betreiber Lisa und Nigel sowie des Personals. Das Essen war hervorragend und hat uns für ein kleines Taucherresort positiv überrascht. Die Tauchbasis ist klein aber fein und gut ausgestattet. Sehr faire Preise, auch wenn man Rental-Ausrüstung benötigt. Die Tauchspots sind alle sehr nah und wirken noch recht unberührt. Die Tauchgänge mit Eddy und Darma waren spitze, gut geplant, wir haben sehr intakte Korallen in allen Variationen und soo viel Neues gesehen! Die Pygmäenseepferdchen waren unser Highlight! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

We loved our stay at this hotel. It's a perfect place to dive and relax. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Diving was amazing and really convenient. Bungalows are comfortable too. Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at High Dive. From the private boat pick up at the Kokomo Jetty, with the sound of the mosque calling to midday prayer, we felt like we were on a real adventure discovering a whole new island retreat. Lisa and the rest of the team made us feel so welcome. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for two out of our three nights and really lapped up the peace and tranquility. Taking a stroll around the island villages led to lots more special little discoveries. The snorkeling directly accessed in front of the little bungalows was superb and Lisa also arranged a island hopping snorkelling trip - the coral was fabulous but we didn't expect to be gifted fresh coconuts - or to be sharing them with the resident cows ! The bungalows are compact (very limited storage and nowhere to put luggage) and quite close together, but spotless and bright and very well decorated and have everything you need including hot water showers and a little private balcony with table and chairs. The menu is a bit limited but the food is very tasty and there are more options for dinner next door.

Great friendly service, great ambiance, good food, and absolutely incredible snorkelling right off the beach. Throughout the stay, the staff were happy to fetch us any drinks, recommend restaurants, have a chat, anything. The place provided an easy pickup from the jetty as well as a ride to our next stop combined with our snorkelling trip. The food was quick, warm, well priced and tasty! The rooms were as displayed, good amount of plug sockets, space, and storage. The aircon was a lifesaver when coming back from a walk as well as the fan. Generally a really nice, peaceful place to just relax, snorkel, go for a walk. Not the place if you want lots of things to do at easy access.
