"Le Stanze di Cardinale is a wonderful place/location to stay while exploring Pavia and the surrounding area. It’s located right in the center of town on the city’s Duomo piazza. Restaurants, sites and the train station are within walking distance. In Pavia you are centrally located to easily take a train to Milan for a day trip or even stretch to Genoa. The only challenge may be parking a car, we use the trains and friends, so I’m not certain. I am sure Paolo could provide information, he is a gracious, welcoming and a helpful host. Our room was spacious, comfortable and always clean. My wife and I come time to time from America to visit friends who live in Pavia and wouldn't consider anywhere else to stay. This is an incredible value for the money. We highly recommend it."

"B&B bastante cerca del centro. Villa con un hermoso jardín y piscina. Volando tiene un lugar de coche interior. La casa tiene un mobiliario donde se destacan muchos libros: ¡muy bien! Habitación muy grande con salón, cama y cocinas muy cómodas, estilo de muebles un poco redundante pero la atmósfera en general es agradable y hemos dormido muy bien. La recepción fue muy amable y profesional. El desayuno no fue a la altura de la habitación: unos pocos productos y un poco docenas. El precio un poco alto también vista la baja temporada pero al final ... podemos volver, quizás en primavera."

"EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. I stayed at this property on the night of January 22, 2026. The room was clearly unsanitary, so much so that I had to change the sheets myself with the help of the reception. That evening, I discovered BEDBUGS, a HORRIBLE situation that forced me to call the owner. They changed my room, only because it was late at night. The night I spent was a nightmare, as the other room was also dilapidated, and I remained awake with the light on to avoid being attacked by bedbugs. The following morning, I immediately changed properties for obvious reasons, requesting the refund I was rightfully entitled to, by calling the owner, who spoke in a loud voice and hung up on me. From that moment, before receiving the PARTIAL refund, I had to wait a long time, send multiple reminder emails, go to the property in person, and receive intimidating and unprofessional responses from the owner. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS PROPERTY. P.S. I only had to give one star because the platform requires it; honestly, this property doesn't deserve any positive reviews."
