We recently stayed at Paatlidun Safari Lodge. It is nestled in the lush greenery of Jim Corbett and offers a relaxing environment. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the swimming pool – well-maintained and perfect for unwinding amidst nature. However please note that the location showed on Google maps is the parking of the Resort and the actual resort is 3kms away from it. The staff takes you there in their own vehicle through the forest, so it is quite an offroading experience on a steep rocky hill. One should be prepared for that. Not suitable for pregnant women or elderly people. The food was quite good, offering a variety of dishes. However, the restaurant did appear to be understaffed during our visit, which affected the overall dining experience. Service was slower than expected, and it seemed like the team was stretched thin. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the staff members, Mr. Dharmendra Singh, was disappointing. His behavior towards us was unexpectedly rude and unhelpful. He came across as closed-off and indifferent to our needs, which is not something you expect at a property of this caliber. It significantly impacted our perception of the hospitality at the lodge. While the resort itself has great potential, there is a definite need for better staff training, particularly when it comes to guest interaction and service. A more welcoming and guest-oriented approach, especially from key personnel like Mr. Singh, would go a long way in elevating the overall experience.
