Sterling Corbett

I visited the Jim Corbett Sterling this March. Everything was quite nice, the food, location, and more importantly the polite behaviour of house keeping and restaurant staff. Prakash was so helpful in deciding what to eat and also helping with the other things. Gem of guy. Also Vandit who was in the restaurant also great. I would definitely explore this property again if I get a chance. Also the drive from Ramnagar to the hotel location is quite serene.

Let me state loud and clear. This rating if for restaurant mainly. (It's a 5star in my opinion). Great food and awesome options of vegetarian dishes and south Indian too. I must say, the restaurant here is absolutely fantastic and Mr.Sumit is the chef of the restaurant section. He was super accommodative, asking for feedbacks and even adjusting some of the preparation styles according to our taste. Curd rice prepared by him was heavenly. Sterling has always been my go to resort for any location. Rooms were good. Although this is located 30kms away from the Bijrani (Amdanda gate), the food made up for it. One feedback for the sterling management is that the reception staffs need to be more responsive and courteous here though. They were super lethargic. They didn't even place the basic dental kits and toiletries. When asked they said, they will keep it but I had to run to reception 5 times. All said, the food made up for everything. Sterling front office team, your service was compensated by the restaurant service and hence I am giving a 4* rating. But for it, This will be a 2* or 1*.
