My only gripe about this hotel is its pool policy, which, from what I could tell, wasn't posted anywhere. And the pool was one of the main reasons why we selected this hotel out of many in Pattaya. What a waste of money!
All throughout SEAsia, skinny males wear shirts while swimming and women wear more than thong bikinis. But if you have a shirt on, you're not allowed to use the pool (like my father in law). If you have anything other than a traditional, Western bottom on--read: panty-like swim trunks for women--you won't be allowed in the pool. My wife had on a cotton-synthetic-blend short shorts on (over her bikini bottoms) and was also denied; my mother-in-law and grandmother didn't even need to ask if their long swim shorts would be acceptable. Policies such as this suggest clearly who they want for their clientele. If you're Muslim and want use to the pool and are aiming to wear anything that'll keep you with religious law, or a burkini, I can imagine what will happen to you. But if you enjoy being fully dressed, sitting on a bench without use of the pool, and ogling at scantily clad Western-minded women and fat Australians with their Thai partners, then this is the hotel for you.
