Grand Hotel Miramonti

Great location with basically ski in ski out accommodation and stunning views on both sides of the Passo Del Tonale valley. Functional rooms and hardworking, professional staff. Particular thanks goes to the waiters' and waitresses' for their excellent customer service. Good variety of local foods at dinner times. Taken together, combined with the high altitude and snowsure nature of Passo make Grand Hotel Miramonti a great place to stay. We hope to be back!

I have absolutely no idea how they obtained a 4 Star rating. Where do I start? The hotel is very very dated! They clearly don't spend any money on upkeep. It is evident that the hotel relies on guaranteed occupancy during the busy ski season. They know the hotel will be busy so they don't care about the hotel and for sure don't care about the guests. For example they have not made any attempt at updating the rooms to bring the hotel in line with what anyone would expect in any 4 star hotel. The rooms are less than basic. Imagine a 1 star budget hotel not updated in 20 years... thats what you will get. (see pics). Some examples are as follows: - The bathroom was very old, the shower leaked everywhere, it was a total mess! (We told reception on day one but they had no intention of fixing it... they were just happy to provide more towels for mopping up the water!). There is a hairdryer that is so old and weak it lets out so little air it renders is practically unusable. Of course there are no bathroom amenities either. - Assistance during arrival is non existent. If you arrive when its dark and / or in the snow then it is impossible to find the hotel parking. They dont clean the access ways (both to the garage or outside parking), there are no lights, there are no signs anywhere and the one person on the front desk staff cant leave their post to provide any assistance. - The hotel dont clear the entrance outside the hotel. Ever. So for the entire week the entrance outside the hotel was full of ice and snow. (they dont even place salt/grit) - There is Wi-Fi but it barely works. Most of the time it wouldnt connect and when it did it was very weak and continuously dropped out. - We asked for a ski lift map on day one and they said we dont have any we ran out. They never actually had any for the entire week. To give credit where credit is due, the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. The food was also surprisingly very pleasant considering the volume of guests. Overall, no complaints on the F&B side. Also the Spa was fine. Unfortunately the indoor pool wasnt heated warm enough for most guests in our group, however this is personal preference. The only really positive is that the hotel is across the street from the ski lift which is very convenient. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel. After walking around the area it looks like there are other 4 star hotels that are considerably nicer and also just as conveniently located.

Great facilities for families Slopes just over the road Loads of choice at breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. Spa and pool a real bonus after a day on the slopes. Not the newest hotel, but still great for the price. Second stay there and definitely not the last

Great location across the street from slopes. Tasty food, helpful staff. They offer stretching with Alessandro witch is beneficial for sore bits after skiing and works wonders combined with sauna. Fantastic animators at kids club. Will be coming back.

The room and the hotel are pretty old, the dining room doesn’t have many vegetarian options but there is a restaurant on the entrance of the hotel which has the best pizza in town! There is a chef called Gaetano who makes perfect pizzas!!! If you’re in town you have to it there

I read lots of reviews on here before we went. I was a bit apprehensive but I'll address each bit as I go through. We were a large group of 17, and we booked and travelled through Crystal Ski. The hotel is Ideally located just across the road from the lifts. These lifts open up access to Passo Tonale, the glacier and the next village Ponte di Ligno. There are a mix of Blue and red runs in Passo Tonale, the glacier and Ponte di Ligno offer more black and red runs so there is something for all ski levels. Our group consists of beginners, intermediate, wobbly people who think they're expert (me) and some more experienced skiers who are comfortable on any slope, There was something for everyone here. We were lucky that there was a fantastic dump of snow the days before and on the day of our arrival. The Hotel As I said it was perfectly located. Just across from the lifts and there was a good ski room for boots and skis overnight. Some reviews say the rooms are not up to scratch and the staff are rude! You must have really done something wrong or been rude yourself to upset these staff. They were great, every single one of them. The rooms are warm, clean and more than good enough. Are they five star? no , but they dont claim to be. They are more than sufficient for a ski holiday and as they say, you get what you pay for, this was a great value holiday. Ordering food at night was a fun experience. They staff are not all fluent in English BUT they all speak better english than we did Italian. Thank you for your patience with us and we never went hungry. If there wasnt anything on the menu that someone fancied they were happy to make a pizza. Personally I was well fed from the menu every night and the buffet was good too. there was a good selection of bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, fruits, cereals, croissants etc every morning for breakfast. The Spa was great - we used the pool, jacuzzi, saunas and Ice buckets several times and they were great. The staff were kind, fun and entertaining. The piano player / singer was good, the nightclub in the hotel was good too, for the teens and 20 somethings in the group. The people in our group have skied all over the world in some of the best resorts and hotels. Nobody had a complaint about this hotel. Thank you to all the staff at the Miramonti, we had a great time and hope to revisit you.

We spent last week at the Grand hotel Miramonti, toghether with a wonderful animation team led by Andrea, the best entertainer ever. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We had a lot of fun. Food was always well cooked with a broad menù to choose from. Thanks to all at the Miramonti and thank you to Andrea for making our stay so special. We'll be back.

Great hotel, handy for slopes, food good, room comfortable. Thanks to all staff for making us welcome. Kids loved Julia, Elizabeth and Alana from mini-club. Thanks Andrea for running the evening entertainment - very funny! Would definitely go back.

Have been here a four times before over the years I agree with some of the reviews about upgrading. But the positives are close to the slopes fantastic leisure facilities and the food and service from the staff are great. Waiters in restaurant have been there for a long time, headwater I seen first twenty years ago. It’s also excellent value booking it through Crystal ski. I am getting on a bit now but I hope to return
