We had a wonderful stay at the XO Hotel in Paris! The hotel is very pretty, and the room was quite nice. This hotel offers a lot of little touches that are very much appreciated, for example 3 sets of all the cosmetics items in the bathroom and even shower puffs for the shower! We did not have to ask for extra towels or pillows (they provide more than enough), they provide an assortment of flavours for the coffee maker and tea kettle in the room, and they even gave us little cookies and chocolate covered marshmallow bears. There was also free coffee and tea in the lobby, which was very nice. We also got a glass bottle of water in the room each day, which was great. They clearly put a lot of thought into making guests comfortable. We had a family suite which had a twin sized pullout couch. This hotel is right around the corner from some great restaurants and a delicious patisserie/boulangerie. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful, and the neighbourhood is very pretty. My only complaints are that we could have used another chair or two in the room since the couch was being used as a bed, and it took us some time to get used to the shower. As Canadians, we’re used to showers that are enclosed with a door or curtain. This one had a glass wall and one completely open side. The first time we showered, we put the bathmat too close, and it was completely soaked. Using the handheld shower and turning it on and off helped to keep the bathroom drier, but there was a lot of water on the floor. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had more than enough options, including fresh fruit juice and hot items. Although this hotel is not right in the heart of things, we could walk to the Arc de Triomphe and there were two subway stations within easy walking distance. We were able to easily use the metro for our outings. I would definitely stay here again.
