Wonderful place

This hotel is in the old town. It is quaint. It is near plenty of restaurants and cafes even in winter. A lot of the rooms are ‘garden rooms’ and exit straight onto the garden where you can eat. I stayed in room 3 which is the largest. It has high ceilings and would be great in the summer as it would be cool. I would avoid this room in colder weather as it is difficult to heat. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom was unusual as was behind a wall and open. It was clean and the water temperature was good. The only negative being that the shower head is too low. I am 5’11” and had to bob (worked the old quads though). Room could have had more crockery but I’m sure if we’d asked they would have brought some. Restaurant had good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Not many people there though about was winter. Breakfast could do with improvement. I recommend you eat elsewhere. I recommend Piedra’s where breakfast is served till 13:00. The owner and staff are good and very helpful. It was great to return here after a long day walking around for some peace and quiet. I totally recommend staying here if you’re not looking for that beach experience

A hidden gem in Old Paphos. Fragrant and tranquil courtyard lunch. Exceptional food, great service, a calm and elegant retreat. A herb infused Mediterranean beauty. Explore the beautiful courtyard garden and its heady herb aromas. Highly recommended.

Casa Mesplea is a small and well kept secret on the very edge of Pafos Old Town. Very easy walk to a number of, restaurants, a couple of which are fine dining, although the majority are in typical Cypriot style. The food at the hotel is excellent and the eating area is delightful. Quite unique. Rooms are clean and tidy, and far from the square boxes you would find in the tourist hotels. Interesting and quirky. Perhaps a little tight for long stays but then again, you would not go to Pafos Old Town if you want to stay in your hotel. The staff are lovely, and are really helpful. If you ask for advice on restaurants, beaches, visitor attractions etc they will go out of their way to help. Would we go back.... Undoubted.

It’s so important for cities to restored these building and make them public spaces. Mespilea is so beautiful and it capture the essence of the old town. We had the most amazing dinner in the courtyard. Costa and his team were so hospitable. We loved our stay.

Had seen this bistro advertised on SoMe quite a lot and positive posting associated with it so decided to give it a try. Have walked past it many times not realising it was there tucked away on a link street in the old town. We were seated in the garden which was lovely, plenty of cover by trees & umbrella's with nice lighting adding to the feel. The menu is not huge but there is enough choice -often less is more! There was a complementary amuse bouche which was so tasty, really enjoyed it. This was followed by how made breads - one with carob which was near black and a lighter bread along with butter. Opted for the giant beans with feta and the stuffed halloumi to start, both were delicious and would order both again! For mains ordered the sea bass and the iberico pork, again both were delicious although I didn't try the pork as it is served with chimichurri. The sea bass was off the bone, 2 nice sized fillets which were cooked to perfection. There was a complementary pudding of orange cake, very sweet and moist which rounded the meal off nicely. Had a bottle of Sauvignon blanc from the Makarounas winery which was an ungrafted vines and single vineyard. It was a really enjoyable wine and reasonably priced. The bill came in at €98.50 which was well worth it. The waiter was very attentive, he checked that the amuse bouche didn't contain parsley, whenever my wine glass was low it was topped up and checked several times that everything was OK. Parked in the market car park which is a short walk from the bistro - there is no road parking around the bistro as it's on a pedestrianised link road off the busy main road, and the pedestrianised main street through the old town. Would certainly return!
