We arrived on Wednesday for a total of three nights (checking out on Saturday), and already on the first day, after unpacking all our clothes, we realized the air conditioner in the bedroom wasn’t working. We went down to the reception to report it, and they moved us to a different room — which, to be fair, was much closer to the pool and main facilities compared to the original room, which was far away from everything. Unfortunately, the A/C in the living room of the new room wasn’t working either. That’s when the nightmare began — for two days in a row, maintenance staff entered our room without knocking or waiting for a response, even though it was just two young women staying alone. At one point, a technician physically opened the door himself while we were getting dressed — a complete invasion of privacy. Throughout our entire stay, the room was cleaned only once — something completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 4 stars. The food was another major disappointment — carbonara pasta without sauce, fries that tasted like they were fried in old oil, non-fresh vegetables in the salads, and burnt milk in the coffee. The only decent cocktails were served at the lobby bar. The ones at the pool bar were poorly balanced and not thoughtfully made, and the bartender acted like taking our order was a burden. As I’m writing this review, we’re currently sitting in the lobby because yet another technician is fixing the A/C in our room — a process expected to take about an hour. When we complained, we were offered “compensation” in the form of chocolate and champagne — which are already included in the expensive all-inclusive package we paid for. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Unprofessional service, no respect for privacy, subpar food, and a clear lack of cleanliness and maintenance — far below the standards of a supposed 4-star hotel. The potential is there, but it’s not being delivered.
