Easy Hostels

We booked a private ‘de luxe’ room with balcony on a booking site. Upon arrival we were confused that there were no signs for Easy Hostels only Marquito’s. I’ve no idea why there are 2 names. The room we were shown with balcony was tiny, with 2 single beds and looked like the previous guests had trashed it, mattress on floor etc. We were given another room, ground floor no balcony but no price reduction. The room was actually fine- with a/c and fridge and was clean enough. Shower worked well and had hot water. The staff appear disinterested. We returned at night and the teenage desk clerk was sat outside our room playing on his phone. He didn’t even look up let alone greet his guests. It’s a strange place. Good location and could be really nice with a bit of smartening up and onsite staff who understand customer service.

Stayed here for one night. When we checked into the room, there was a random *** in one of our beds. We asked them to change the bed sheets while we went out and they said they would. When we came back it still hadn’t been done. When we asked again he told us that the bed sheets had been changed in the morning, ignoring the fact that there was someone in the bed. There is mould on the wall and the room doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in a while. The bin hadn’t even been emptied and was overflowing. There is also a wardrobe in the room and one side of it is covered in mould and has what looks like rat droppings at the back of it. The toilet doesn’t flush properly and the shower has no water. My friend was mid shower and the water stopped completely. We questioned them about the shower and he said that the pumps hadn’t been turned on and we had to wait 10-15 minutes. Nearly an hour later and still no water. After asking again, the staff member was rude and laughed at the situation. Horrible service from the *** on the reception. There are no lockers here and you don’t even get your own key for the door. You have to leave it at reception when you go out and when we returned the *** had lost the key. Doesn’t give you a good feeling for security knowing the key has been lost and you have no way of locking your stuff away. The morning we were due to check out we asked if we could leave our bags for an hour while we went to the shop. The *** on reception told us it would cost even though we had stayed there and wouldn’t be leaving them for long. Considering the cost for one night here, I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone!

Room is cramped and very next to reception. Staff is only bothered about payment not services. No water bottles in room and they say kitchenette but there is none. No privacy at all due to all day movement near your room. Had to ask for glass for drinking water which is basic necessity, should be provided in room. Torn bedsheet, dirty towels what else you can expect for a bad experience. They are doing business only because of location. Would not like to recommend this to anyone..
