Talavera Palm Springs

Talavera is a totally gorgeous, incredibly overlooked gem in the heart of the Tennis Club neighborhood in Palm Springs. We've walked by it a hundred times over the years and never stopped in. A very private, discrete spot. Every room is a large suite with its own private patio and jacuzzi. The TWO pools are separately located in beautiful, atmospheric landscaped courtyards with mountain views. The staff was wonderful, especially our host (whose name I have somehow forgotten...I'm sorry) who was extraordinarily gracious throughout our stay...including providing us a complementary bottle of wine because we were leaving one day before the opening of their full bar service. She also helped us get a reservation at their sister property (Dive Hotel) when we decided to stay an extra day at the last minute. The location in Tennis Club is perfect...a short walk to just about everything in central Palm Springs. Don't miss it!!! PS: Dive Hotel was pretty damn good too.

First I was greeted by the front desk lady by getting scolded for accidentally typing in a single digit of my phone number incorrectly. The we entered into the room, everything was clean but the room was cold and odd. We felt as though we were in a fish bowl- with all glass doors and windows looking directly at the pool with many people there. Overall just a very odd place. We tried to get drinks but nobody responded from the number and the "bar" was empty. We ended up leaving around 7 pm the day we checked in, didn't even spend the night because it was just uncomfortable. The hotel can keep my hard-earned *$700*!!!! but i'm not happy about it. 2 stars for cleanliness and the small property was nicely kept.

This is a lovely oasis in a busy little city. The interior of the property is relaxing and private. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also roomy and had obviously been updated recently. It is an easy walk to loads of restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend Talavera Palm Springs.

The private hot tub and outdoor courtyard were wonderful. The staff person who checked us in went above and beyond our expectations including loaning us a breakfast table and chairs. If we were to come back to Palm Springs, we would definitely want to stay here again.

This place is perfect. Eclectic decor, lovely landscaping, peaceful and serene yet steps away from all the action. I will never stay anywhere but here for all future Palm Springs getaways. Amazing staff as well (thank you Jonie!). Cant wait to go back!

The property is quiet, very well located and wonderfully unique. Almost 2 months ago, I booked the last room available for Valentine’s weekend & it was spacious & perfect! Every bungalow has its own private hot tub- that we enjoyed, and a community area fire pit & 2 pools. We’ve stayed at other hotels in the area which we liked, but this is by far our favorite. We are looking forward to returning.
