The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba

I’m a loyal Ritz Carlton client and I am only leaving this review for Aruba Ritz to get better. 1st day I came staff by the pool was very good but as the days went by seemed to be lacking in performance. The spa was ok I wasn’t crazy about it definitely for the heavy price tag ( keep in mind I’ve been to 5 other ritz Carlton’s ) The main thing that got me upset is at casa nanna the restaurant down stairs made under cooked food not once but twice. On top both of sons age 2 and 2 got sick from the spaghetti and meatballs and was throwing up all night. I’ve mentioned this to the staff. And it seemed like they didn’t know what to tell me or how to fix the problem they changed me room ( that was the same room set up different number) and basically was all they can do. Then 2 nights later I ordered room service a got a brownie with ice cream and I got sick myself and was throwing up all morning right before I had to get on a 5 hour flight back home. I usually leave a short and great review for people to read and always recommend the Ritz Carlton to everyone but this was not held to the brand Reputation and I hate that I have to leave a review like this.

Dinner at BLT was excellent, great exec room facing the ocean. Very pretty. Beach front was well maintained and controlled for being service orientated for drinks and food. Room was big and comfortable as was the king bed. Things were clean and we saw and experienced good roaming security so we felt safe. The ritz might be a bit more in price but well worth the experience staying in Noord versus in the town of Oranjestad. The big cruise boats unload thousands of people and the streets parking and hotels are packed. Better to stay north and have a private beach.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Stay at The Ritz-Carlton Aruba My husband and I stayed here for a week and were really disappointed, especially for a Ritz-Carlton property. We booked through ******* with our Amex Platinum Card, expecting breakfast to be included—it wasn’t, and no one offered a clear reason why. We were also charged unexplained extra fees, and to make matters worse, staff entered our room without permission on multiple occasions—once to bring a baby crib we hadn’t requested, and another time to deliver a fridge while we were on the balcony. This felt like a serious privacy issue. The food and drinks were extremely overpriced, and overall the experience did not justify the cost. The property is pretty, but we expected much better service, transparency, and respect for guests’ privacy. We would not stay here again.

Heard some staff at the restaurant mumbling negatively about a customer having too many plates on their table. Very unprofessional.

Every single staff member we encountered were very professional and friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Josh and Kendrick helped make our check in and check out process smooth. They gave us wonderful advice for our future travels. We had the best time at the beach. I didn’t mind going early to get seats. Dylwin, Chris and Antoine did an amazing job. They ensured that we were well taken care of. Louisa and Jesus were absolutely wonderful at BLT. They gave us great food and wine recommendations. We will definitely return.

Did not feel like a Ritz Service was ok but did not go out of way like they have at other locations

Room was spotless, staff were friendly and very helpful. Grounds were beautiful. Having to get up at 7am to reserve umbrellas and lounge chairs was not convenient - would prefer to make these reservations well ahead of my arrival.

They downgraded the room I ordered from ocean view to coastline (which was actually parking lot) and didn't refund my money! It is unbelievably bad behavior and service from what is supposed to be a luxury resort.
