"Another spectacular hotel on the RAAS hopper route. More of a retreat, a very luxurious retreat, than a hotel. Canopied rooms on edge of lake. Completely silent except for birds. Bougainvillea abounds. Peacocks, roosters, basking turtles, the odd antelope all within the grounds. Fantastic stargazing sessions with the super knowledgeable Rakish. Ask Mohammed, super knowledgeable ornithologist and naturalist to take you out in the jeep or on the lake or into the village completely devoid of tourists. Try the Chhat with cornflakes and yoghurt as a side dish. Amazing Kundalini massage from a wonderful strong yet tiny masseuse (and I’ve been to a ton of hotel spas). Great place atop a hill for surveying sunset, delicious Indian amuses-gueles and cocktails, Service impeccable. Yoga and meditation offered. And yes, they have oat milk. Truly gutted we have to leave"

The surroundings are peaceful, quiet, and perfect for slowing down and enjoying time together as a family. Our room was spacious, clean, and full of character. My daughter was fascinated by the courtyards and open spaces, and we loved letting her walk around safely while we relaxed. Waking up to calm views and fresh air was honestly one of the best parts of the stay. The food was another highlight. We enjoyed simple, tasty meals with authentic Rajasthani flavors, and the staff was very kind about accommodating our child’s needs. Everyone working there was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. What we loved most was the overall vibe of the place—peaceful, royal, and very homely at the same time. It felt less like a hotel and more like being a guest in a historic family home. If you’re looking for a relaxed heritage stay where you can enjoy history, comfort, and quality family time, Ghanerao Royal Castle is a wonderful choice. We left with beautiful memories and would happily return again."

"It's a beautiful resort with extremely courteous staff, perfect location, calm and green atmosphere, and superb (actually extremely comfortable) clean rooms. Everything was well placed and we enjoyed our 2 day trip to the best. The staff, the Manager, and the chef, Shri Dineshji, everyone was extremely hospitable and we would surely love to visit the place again. Some shortfalls: There are few things they need to improve upon: 1. No recreational activity available as shown on their web site, though they told they are in process of developing it. 2. The food choices are extremely limited and for a resort of this much cost, the choices should be vast. 3. Just for the rooms and without ANYTHING EXTRA, like cultural program, or gym, or kids area, or bon-fire, I am not sure if it is value for money. But of-course, the pure Rajasthani food which they served on demand was THE BEST LOCAL FOOD WE HAVE EVER TASTED."
