Allegra house was a beautiful apartment situated high overlooking the beautiful bay of Paihia. A wall of windows/ glass doors open onto a lovely private terrace looking directly out over the bay. Fantastic. The hosts couldn't do enough to help and ensure our visit was memorable. They provided a delicious breakfast with freshly made bread in the shared dining room. So nice to meet the other guests over breakfast. The apartment was furnished beautifully with every detail thought of. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

Wonderfully warm welcome from Heinz and Brita, we were able to pick their brains on things to do and places to eat The accommodation was lovely and spacious, and a true sense of “home from home” Their stunning house affords the absolute best views in Pahia, we only wish we had more time just to sit and enjoy

The location was fantastic and the view from the room outstanding. Breakfast provided by Heinz and Brita was excellent especially Heinz's fresh bread and eggs. The hosts Heinz and Brita had great suggestions for what to do and went out of their way, even offering to drive us to the start of a walking trail. It felt like you were staying with friends and other guest shared their recommendations when we saw them at breakfast.

From the moment we met Brita and Heinz, the owners of Allegra House, we immediately felt at home. The Allegra House is not only special because of where it's situated, the spacious rooms, the incredibly beautiful views of the Bay of Islands, but because the hosts are simply the best we have encountered. They are a super team, who knows how to make your stay very special. The breakfasts are by far the best we had in New Zealand. The room we had had a huge terrasse with a view we never got tired of. I wanted to stay there and continue enjoying being pampered by Brita and Heinz. This was an incredible introduction to New Zealand and we thank them for that.

We had a fabulous three night stay at Allegra House in the one bedroom apartment. Heinz and Brita were fabulous hosts who made us feel so welcome. The apartment was perfect with stunning views across the bay. Everything was beautifully presented and very clean. We will definitely be back.

This was a delightful stay. The house was spectacular, overlooking the Bay of Islands (what a view!!). The room was perfectly appointed with an extremely comfortable bed. Did I mention the view?? Breakfast was delicious with home made bread!! And Heinz & Brita could not have been more welcoming or more knowledgeable about traveling not just in the Northland, but throughout NZ. We hated to leave (except we have two islands to visit in 3 weeks 😊). What a wonderful start to our visit to NZ. If we could give more than 5 circles, we would!

I've wanted to go to Allegra House for a while and we finally did. We could only spend a night there as we have animals at home but it was very pleasant mini getaway. The view from the room is to die for, very peaceful and lots of bird song, I loved the peacefulness. The room itself was very tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast was fresh & tasty. We really enjoyed our time at Allegra House and would recommend it to anyone wanting that personal touch. Britta and Heinz are the most charming hosts, thank you for having us.

Heinz and Brita were the perfect hosts. They were helpful ,friendly and had a great sense of humour. The room was spacious and clean and had the most amazing view. The breakfast was plentiful with eggs cooked with freshly baked bread, fruit ,yoghurt and cheeses. We could not have found a better place to stay

What a place. We stayed in a beautiful apartment but it’s the view over the bay of islands from your deck that knocks you out. It really is to die for and I doubt we’ll better it during our next month on NZ. Brita and Heinz are charming and thoughtful hosts. It’s hardly ever available for obvious reasons but if you do get the chance to stay then don’t hesitate.
