I saw some bad reviews and I didn't understand how that could be. They have a no pet policy and that sold me on the motel. I could really care less about bad reviews with a no pet policy. We booked the room through *******. When we arrived the desk clerk was friendly and we had a reservation for a king bed. We were given the card key to check out the room at our request. The room wasn't going to work for us because there was no tub only a shower. The desk clerk's name was Sissy. She said that the only rooms with tubs were the handicapped rooms. I told her that would be fine with us. She started looking and discovered that the only handicapped room they had was not going to be available for our 4th day. We would have to be moved. I told her I didn't want to move but after talking with my husband we decided to take the room. Later on the night desk clerk John was able to fix it so we didn't have to move on the last day of our visit. We think he went out of his way to fix the problem to keep us in the same room for our stay. The housekeeper whose name is Deborah was always checking on us when she would see us in the hallway. We did have a complaint with loud music in the room next to us. Deborah handled that problem within an few minutes. She should be the manager in my opinion. This was the most friendliest motel I have ever stayed in and we do travel a lot.

We traveled with two other couples to attend a seminar at the River Park Center. The room we were given was not acceptable to our taste. The first thing we noticed was a foul odor when we opened the door to our room. Secondly, the room was not clean enough in our opinion. Musky smell that seemed to soak into the sheets and towels. Then when we wanted to watch the television there was no remote anywhere. We called the front desk but the person working did not offer to bring or have someone on the staff to deliver a replacement tv remote. My spouse had to get in the automobile and drive to the front desk go inside and wait for the attendant to search for a remote.

I believe this is a newly built BW which helped for a 5 star rating Check-In and Out was easy:) Nice safe area with large parking area. Quiet night, no noice Nice TV with good station selection. Nice pillows, bed, towels:) Plenty of hot water in shower with good pressure:) Room came off clean Breakfast was your usual BW quality. I am normally thanked for being a BW Diamond Select guest and given bottle water, not here

The TownePlace Suites in Owensboro is one of my top choices of places to stay when I'm in the Owensboro area. I have found over the years that the hotels close to the river are always way overpriced at certain times of the year so if you are willing to stay a little off the beaten path then give this hotel a shot. The hotel is located right off the highway and no more than ten to fifteen minutes from most of the major attractions in Owensboro. This hotel has all the amenities you need for a one or multiple-night stay. The staff are professional and this hotel is very well run by management and staff. My room was clean, and spacious and had everything I needed for two nights. The hotel has an excellent fitness center, indoor lounge areas, outdoor lounge areas and a very busy pool, Breakfast includes a variety of hot and cold choices, pastries, bread and cereals, fresh fruit and above-average coffee. The rooms have full fridges and useable kitchenettes, and depending on the size of the room you may have a bigger kitchen area. The room has many electrical outlets and USB charging stations for all of your devices. If you have USB-C then bring your charging blocks. The AC and heating units in your room work very well and are not that noisy. Wifi is easy to connect to and if you are a Bonvoy member you get the upgraded wifi at no additional charge, Lastly, this hotel has digital keys so you can skip the line up when you check in and they automatically send you your bill when you check out. Overall an affordable, well-run Marriot property and my number one place to stay when I'm in the area.

From the moment I entered the door everyone was very helpful and polite and I want to recognize one of their employees destiny she went above and beyond her duties I had my hands full and she helped me to my room she also was considerate when the elevator wasn’t working she made sure I got a room on the first floor management also was great if your looking for a place that feels like home this is your place it’s one of the best I’ve stayed you won’t be disappointed I don’t understand the negative reviews I’ve seen because I can tell you their clean it’s up to date all around great place to stay

I can not say enough about how good this hotel is!!!!!!! We have stayed here often over the last few years for several different occasions. This time it was Bar B Que and Barrel fest. This hotel is always clean, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. The staff all have been great to us wither on the phone or in person. Everyone of them have been over the top helpful and nice.. Special thanks to Brenda and Mike that made sure our reservations were taken care of and made sure we got the most out of our Platinum Elite Status . This hotel sits in the perfect location for all the great things going on the riverfront. You can walk to almost anything going on. The civic center is right next door and provides a complete schedule of things to do.. My wife and I stay exclusively in IHG. properties, THIS HOTEL and it's sister property in Paducah are 2 of our favorite places of all we have stayed in.. HIGHLEY HIGHLEY RECOMEND THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reason for Visit:Getaway and Bar B Que and Barrel Fest Travel Tips:Try all the local owned restaurants in Owensboro It wont disappoint
