"We had mice in our room and spent almost the whole time there trying to get them out. Unfortunately that was unsuccessful despite calling for help. They were able to come in through a gap when the room door was closed (we saw one mouse squeeze through)! We found mouse poop on our bed and throughout the room! The property manager was not helpful (claiming there were no other rooms available without checking. We found out the next morning that there were in fact multiple other rooms available) and condescending ("This is a nature reserve, of course there will be animals outside"). We would have never complained about mice being outside. It was the worst experience in a hotel we have ever had between having to sleep in a room with mice that we knew could get onto the bed and luggage (not allowed to leave after sunset and we were not given a different room upon request) to being treated as if our expectations (no mice should be coming in when the door is closed) were unreasonable and talked to in a condescending and disrespectful way upon complaining (e.g. "You had a beatufiful room with hot water")."

"This was our third stay at Mount Etjo and just as good as the previous visits. We return for a number of reasons, primarily because the game drives are superb and never disappoint. This time we went on an evening drive and a morning one, both with Job. He was excellent, entertaining, informative and persistent in tracking down the lions, which we really appreciated. I took more than 600 photos on the two drives! The food is excellent and I love the afternoon tea and cakes with the cheeky blue starlings. On previous visits we have had a family room, but with older children we opted for separate twin rooms. The rooms are clean and were perfectly adequate for our two night stay. They could do with updating (my daughter's shower wasn't great), but this is a minor issue. The grounds are lovely and we spent hours sitting and watching the hippos, including a baby hippo, and heaps of wildlife, including elephants and giraffes, at the water hole by the lodge. Absolutely amazing! The staff are always helpful, friendly and strive to make your stay as good as it can be. Compared with four years ago and our last visit, Namibia has become extremely expensive overall, including accommodation, but we knew we would have a great time at Mount Etjo and it didn't disappoint."

"Really nice chalets with indoor bbq and all equipment provided. Small pool but beautiful views. Staff kind and helpful. 2 hr Tour is one cheetah one lion and one leopard. You can go inside the cheetah cage. My family enjoyed the tour. Cheetah conservation fund was well worth a visit and Alogrove arranged this for us."

"Nos alojamos en uno de los chalets, con una hermosa ventana con vistas al Waterberg. La zona central de Lappa es muy acogedora y el personal es realmente servicial y amable. Caminamos/subimos la colina por el sendero que también ofrecía muy buenas vistas de toda la zona de Waterberg, y mi compañero montó a caballo entre el ganado y a lo largo de lechos de ríos secos. Harry Schneider también se interesa activamente por sus clientes, lo que en mi opinión resume la granja."
