Pietra Campana Italian Villa Orvieto

OMG look no further.!!! This place is fabulous. It was a last minute booking to add an extra night in Orvieto. Our room was well appointed with nice details, big king size bed and plenty of comfortable pillows. The bathroom was very nice. It had slippers, intimate cleanser to use in the bidet etc etc. The views are breathtaking and you can see the Duomo at a distance. This would be the perfect place to stay as their gardens and grounds are beautiful. It has a huge pool and pool area surrounded by beautiful olive trees and cypress trees that are such a nice part of the Tuscany landscape. We did not feel like going out to eat so they prepared a great lasagna for us and tiramisu which was yummy. The breakfast was also very delicious and they made the best scrambled eggs I have ever had. We met the owners and sat and had a very nice conversation with them while enjoying a glass of vino rosso. This B&B would be an awesome place for a destination wedding / family reunion.

Pietro Campana was the perfect place to stay when visiting Orvietto and surrounding areas! We were blown away when we arrived and saw the villa, our room, pool and outdoor dining area. All of which had an unobstructed amazing view of Orvietto. The pictures of our room don’t do it justice. I believe the building was renovated recently, so everything is new. Do be aware that there are shutters… We didn’t realize this till we woke up at five in the morning with blinding sunlight in our eyes, ha ha! We had arrived in the evening the night before, and didn’t realize there were shutters to close. it made a world of difference :-) we only stayed for two nights and wish we had stayed longer because the setting is just perfect. Our room was on the top floor with beamed ceilings, a big room, comfortable bed. Lots of closet and storage space for everything. The Staff could not be nicer and accommodating. You’ll dine for breakfast and nice days out on a patio looking at unobstructed view of Orvietto and on the opposite side of the building is the pool which is very nice considering. It also has a unobstructed view of the city as does the hot tub. We did not have dinner there, but we talked to another family that did and they said it was outstanding. We had just an amazing stay at Petra Campana. We have actually thought about how we could plan a trip visiting other regions and still have a couple nights here because we liked it so much! One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at and we travel a lot. Loved everything about it! it takes about seven minutes to drive to town, which was easy and we did it both nights for dinners and once during the day. Super easy but you will need to follow on a map since it’s windy roads. Basically you’re driving down one mountain and up the next. please note that when you park do so on the upper parking deck and nearby then there is an elevator to take you to the top of Orvietto! Otherwise it’s very steep and there are escalators/moving walkways but it takes I think six of them? To get to the top. A lot. when you turn to the parking ramp on the top level. when you’re facing Orvietto from the Villa, the parking is on the left-hand side of town. we loved our room and we were on the top floor in the building where the restaurant is. Quiet, cool perfect!

My wife and I stayed at Pietra Campana for 3 nights during a tour of Tuscany and Umbria. This is a large villa property that has recently undergone a major multi year renovation to take it from a private estate to a farm stay. It had only been open a couple of months when we stayed there. No expense was spared and this has resulted in an elegant, high end property which at the same time feels very local and authentic. The rooms are large and well equipped, the views are fantastic, and the food served was very good. The staff were amazing and were there for our every need. We ate a meal one evening there, it was only us, and we felt like we were having a bespoke private dinner. We talked to the staff a lot and shared our stories, which made the whole experience more special (Andrena the manager, and Valentina and Anna Marie were lovely to talk to). They are all excited to get this property up and running and were eager to take care of as guests. Whilst they seemed to only have a few rooms booked during our mid week stay, I suspect in a short while this will be the “go to” spot for a relaxing stay outside of the bustle of the town. Also, it would make an amazing wedding venue ! Our best wishes to the team there and we hope to return !! John and Christy

Casale sapientemente ristrutturato da poco, la nostra camera molto accogliente, offriva una splendida vista sulla rupe dominata dal Duomo di Orvieto. Ottima pulizia, colazione piacevole con buona varietà di dolce e salato. Gentilezza e disponibilità del personale. La vista vale il prezzo.
