We had the most amazing holiday arranged by Klas from Lotshotellet. He met us in his boat Granit at the boat dock in Gothenburg and looked after us for an amazing 6 days. We stayed one night at The Grand on Marstrand, one night at Salt&Sill on Kladesholmen and 3 nights at Lotshotellet. During the day we had many adventures walking on the rocky islands, swimming, visiting and climbing lighthouses, seal watching, swimming with the seals, visiting the Sculpture park at Pilane and the Nordic Watercolour museum at Skarhamn and visiting the archipelago on Klas' boat fuelled ecologically by chip fat!! We ate at fantastic restaurants all arranged by Klas. We felt very lucky to visit places that we wouldn't normally have known about. There was amazing fresh sea food and fantastic views. We were a family group of two parents in their 50s and kids 22, 20 and 17. A very active and fun holiday enjoyed by us all. Lotshotellet was just lovely. A small 6 room hotel, that is beautifully presented and very luxurious, very comfortable, elegant rooms, with amazing views. Eating breakfast on the boat dock was amazing. Klas and Milla and their team were excellent hosts.

Amazing cozy chic hotel in one of the most beautiful places in Scandinavia! The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and kind and we had a lovely time. The breakfast was delicious anda well as the galleries and crepes. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel which paired with this amazing island it’s a dream. BTW: The bedding in the hotel is by a local designer and of such wonderful quality that you will want to buy a set of bedding to take home. Finally, I loved swimming in the sea right off the back deck and using their beautiful sauna. I feel recharged and happy after such a wonderful experience in an island with delicious seafood caught locally. Also, such a joy that there are no cars, no bikes . . 🥰

We were delighted by our entire experience at Lotshotellet! From the beginning, Milla and Klous were very communicative with all the details we need to know as far as getting to and from the island, additional amenities and what to expect. We stayed in the most delightful room that overlooked the water, enjoyed all the friendly guests at breakfast and the summer workers were extremely helpful and friendly! The breakfast spread was delicious and once again exceeded our expectations. We loved the Sauna and would recommend that to anyone staying here! It was the perfect, quiet escape for us :)

This was a wonderful place to escape for a few days without driving to recover from jet lag. As our stay was over Midsummer, our hosts invited us to join in the island's traditional parade and festivities, which was great fun! Our private balcony was the perfect place to soak in the late afternoon sun after a dip in the North Sea. Great restaurants and shops were a short walk away. In one word, Lotshotellet is idyllic!

We stayed at Lotshotellet for 3 nights, and enjoyed the hospitality of the entire staff. Everything is well organised, and very family like.. the hotel has the best location by the habour, and we loved everything about it, and will for sure come back❤️

Beautiful and charming island property, exactly what we had hoped for. The owners were so friendly and made us feel very welcome and we were well looked after. Sadly the weather wasn’t the best but it hasn’t stopped us from wanting to come back and take advantage of the tours they offer!

All in all this is a perfect experience. The setup is highly professional. The rooms are very charming and also romantic. Nice and clean, goes without saying. The breakfast has a variation to everyones taste. The crepes restaurant is superb. The hotel can also offer dinner if you give them some time for setting it up. The hotel offers several outdoor activities of which The Axman enjoyed the boat trip into the archipelago. In addition to this you have the owners and staff. They will let you alone if that is what you wish or they take part in a friendly chat. They are always willing to do the extra!!!

Fantastic hotel with stellar service, great owners and the best breakfast you can wish for. Everything is super, and the rooms are fresh, clean, comfy and just lovely. The absence of a tv was quite relaxing. Will absolutely return here and do totally recommend. 10 out of 10.

A wonderful experience, even just for one night! The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room charming, clean, tidy...and romantic. The Crêperie had some nice dishes, and we enjoyed our lunch in the sunshine at the pier. We even tried the sauna with the obligatory cold swim from the pier. Karingon is a very small, quiet (except perhaps in the middle of the season) and romantic island, situated not far from the open ocean in the western archipelago. We recommend anyone a trip here, and especially a stay with the warm, friendly athmosphere in Lotshotellet.
