Hotel San Rocco

環境：主打一個愜意的休閑環境，整體還是很不錯的，早餐也很簡單但是不隨意，對面就是絕美的湖島景色，早餐太舒服了.

I rarely give negative reviews but unfortunately I could not let this pass. I would have given one star but two outstanding members of staff on reception - Isabella and Erica saved the hotel from that. From the top: We ordered a transfer from the train station. I had a confirmation text. No one arrived. I rang the hotel. About 15 minutes later the maintenance guy arrived in a car. We had to avoid stepping on spare light fittings rolling around the foot well. There was no apology from him or when we arrived at reception. There was no offer to help with luggage. We got to the room which was boiling hot and found only one hanger in the wardrobe. I went to reception to report the problems. 30 minutes later the same maintenance man arrived with 4 hangers. He was unable to fix the air con and called the manager. He couldn’t fix it either. I said we couldn’t stay there as it was too hot. He wasn’t apologetic at all and took us to a much smaller room. He said it had a better view which I think was a matter of opinion as it was still a side lake view. He then said no one was available until the following day to separate the beds as we’d requested twin beds. In fact sometime after one of the ladies from reception came and did this for us. There was insufficient hanging and shelf space in the rooms so everything was piled up on the table. We had booked for 6 nights - on 3 of the days we were there, there were no towels for the pool and I again had to visit reception to request that some were provided. At this point my husband said he hadn’t realised that Fawlty Towers (a 1970’s British sitcom about a failing hotel) was in fact a documentary! The lakeside and pool side umbrellas are small and fixed into the ground so as the sun moves you boil as you can’t move them to get shade. My husband ordered a beer at the pool. The beer came in two glass because the hotel has no pint sized plastic glasses. The hotel is in an unspoilt picturesque town with a superb lakeside position. It makes its money from wedding receptions. Isabella and Erica were very helpful and Erica went above and beyond to sort out transport for us when we discovered there was a train strike on the morning we were leaving. So if the hotel owners can appoint a new management team who understand the hospitality trade it could be brilliant. T

Had such high hopes for this hotel but it really was average. When booking we asked for lake view room but upon checking in, got given village view. Not great, but we were there for a wedding so went with it. When we got to the room, I tried to turn on the aircon and the whole unit came out in my hand! We soon established the TV was not working either and on further investigation discovered the whole socket/plug was coming out of the wall. Went to ring reception, phone wasn't working, so took a walk up to them. They said someone would be with us in 20 mins. No one arrived. Back to reception and said it would be 5 more mins. Lovely man arrived around 10 mins later, by which time we also found out that the toilet was broken and would not flush, so he suggested we get moved to a different room. He went and told reception, but we then heard nothing for another 15 mins so I went back to reception again. Receptionist seemed oblivious initially then said she would speak to her colleague. I purposely stood waiting this time and 10 mins later, lo and behold they find a better room, with a lake view!! Room was nice but literally no guest instructions apart from QR codes, and no coffee/tea facilities. On checking out, further issues, as due to us staying for a wedding in the hotel, we had been given 20% discount for our stay. There was no sign of this on our invoice and the receptionist again had no knowledge of it, giving us the option of either paying and getting a reimbursement, or leaving card details. Neither of which we were happy with, given the poor service to date. She eventually agreed for us to take a copy of the invoice and sort once we were back in the UK as we had to get to the airport. Such a shame as the hotel itself is lovely and wedding beautiful, but reception staff seem pretty clueless about how to deal with guest and issues. One good thing, the Hugo Spritz cocktail is to die for!

The hotel was booked for 3 nights R&R between a 2 city break arriving early evening. There were several issues but the main complaints made the following morning were : 1- Areas/appliances in the bathroom needed cleaning. (photos were taken) 2- Aircon not working 3-No tea/coffee making facilities Very quickly housekeeping staff arrived at our room for me to point out my bathroom concerns. They also brought a coffee making machine (apparently only the suites include this facility ) and maintenance brought us a fan (our suggestion). Yes the complaints were handled quickly but the attitude/response was very odd- ie.. as if not having aircon was no big deal .. And of course we should not have to complain about such basic requirements in a hotel of this star rating (questionable). Several poolside slabs had weeds growing between them. Also whilst sitting on the edge of the pool (legs in water) my husband's hands touched the top tile above the water line and found his fingers dirty (they left fingerprints on the tiles in question). It goes without saying therefore that the pool needs some attention. This is basic standards required of any hotel providing his type of facility ? (there as a pool robot cleaner evident) The breakfast buffet was only 'ok' -not a particularly 'eye catching ' presentation. On the good side, the hotel provided pick up/drop off at train station and helped with transport to a local restaurant when a taxi could not be booked. Safety deposit box was provided and was easy to use. There was also a good sized hairdryer for use (found in wardrobe). All appreciated . There were many wedding type tables with white tablecloths /chairs pushed to side of several areas (open doored rooms) of the hotel. Having read many of the reviews of this hotel published over the last few years , it does make me wonder if Management have become very complacent due to its superb location ?

Firstly I would like to say I am disappointed that I have to give this review. I have stayed at this lovely hotel before, it is in a great location with stunning views, however. My wife and I returned for a weekend visit on 7th,8th,9th June. On arrival we were allocated room 131 which is nice. Friday was fine, then on the Saturday we were informed that there was to be a wedding at the hotel, our room was directly above the venue/disco area. When I mentioned this to reception there reply was 'oh don't worry it'll be finished by midnight. I left it at that as it was a one off, or so I thought. Sunday brought another wedding, even louder than the day before. I spoke to reception who 'apologised'. I have since emailed the Hotel to suggest it would have been more appropriate to accomodate two people in their 60's away from noisy parties. I do not want anyone to not enjoy their wedding, but what was to be a nice, quiet, relaxing break was ruined by hotel staffs lack of foresight. Perhaps I should have kicked up more of a fuss. I have not had a reply to my email. I would suggest if you intend to stay here then you should check the hotel social calender.

Lovely hotel, easy to find, staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Hotel has parking and is central to everything you need restaurants shops bars and boat trips etc. Peaceful at night and breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommended

Nice hotel we visited in augustus 2023. We booked a room with lakeview. The room we were given was a room looking at a tree. After one night we could change this for a room with lakeview. Unfortunately at this room the airco did not work and the staff were unable to fix this. They said it happend all the time. Luckily they gave us a fan to cool the room. Overall it is a beautiful hotel, but the maintenance could be better. On the outside there is a lot of weeds. Also the swimming pool is old and needs a makeover. Breakfast is very good with lots of fresh fruit.

I have previously stayed in this hotel and know it to be a fantastic place. However this review concerns a day trip and I needed some assistance as my wife was poorly. The team on reception offered help without hesitation. This is fantastic customer service and shows what a great team they have. Thank you

The hotel was most accommodating. We booked via *********** (not recommended). We had to change dates because of a death. The hotel was most gracious in changing our dates. The reception staff are more than helpful, the room clean and spacious. I have no complaints. I’m quite content with their human touch.
