Mr. and MRS. White Tinos

Probably the cleanest hotel of the category we have ever visited, perfect mattress, perfect linens, very good breakfast, the staff at the restaurant so friendly, the only bad thing is that they need better and more sunbeds at the pool area, we will visit again for sure!!

We were blown away on arrival. The hotel impresses with its white luminous appearance which is set on a backdrop of picturesque surroundings. Our family room was spacious and had a beautiful balcony with a hot tub. We enjoyed a wonderful varied breakfast with excellent service. The hotel is located in close proximity to the beach . Highly recommended.

Mr & Mrs White Resort found space for us at short notice after deciding to leave a different hotel because of a long list of faults. This move was the best thing we did, it was like a breath of fresh air! From the moment we first arrived the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome from the start. The rooms were clean, bright, modern and well equipped, all with lovely views. The breakfasts were fantastic and varied from day to day. We won’t hesitate to return and if this is the quality of hotel and staff associated with this chain, then we would also love to try the others.

Let me start by saying that we travel often and travel in reasonable style. Thought the property was 4 star but it’s no more than 3. Below average to poor on everything. Rooms are small, in poor state, cracking paint, slippery and dangerous bathroom tiles, aesthetically unrated. The breakfast is below average. Coffee and atmosphere is below par. Offering poor. The pool is a non event. Many times worst than our private pool at home. The location is second rate but acceptable. Access is from a small unfinished road. The view from the room is towards the sea and surrounding unfinished buildings!! This is a 60’s budget property that’s been wrapped in genius branding and market positioning. Find something newer and better. We assume the owners will redevelop the property from scratch.

We really thought this place would be amazing but unfortunately the pics online were taken from such a good angle that when we arrived it didn't feel like we were at the hotel we thought we had booked. First of all, this is not a hotel neither a resort per se. It is a cluster of rooms built around a small-ish pool with no lounge and zero atmosphere. If you go to the beach or decide to laze around the pool, when you get bored there is absolutely nothing to do - at all! The hotel is on a steep hill with steep ramps and weak handrails so we would definitely not recommend it for guests with any kind of mobility issues whatsoever. The lift wasn't working during our stay and we felt so sorry for the staff who had to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs - health & safety guidelines for the staff seem to be non-existent. The rooms were clean though very basic and no real thought has been taken in relation to the functionality and design of the rooms. Also, unless you are lucky enough to speak Greek, there are only about 4 TV channels to choose from. You do get a mini fridge though and a bottle of water. The bed isn't that comfy so hopefully you won't be spending a full week here. The breakfast offering is box-standard buffet but the quality is visibly cheap. If you have both gluten AND dairy allergies just save yourself the aggro and find some other place to have breakfast. The reception is not really what you would expect it to be (which should be, smiley, warm and buzzing by the way)...Dimitra was great and so was the young Lefteris (a very enthusiastic and keen to please man for all jobs) and the ladies at breakfast. The place was clean and most of the staff we interacted with were lovely so we gave it 3 stars. But honestly, don't come here if you are coming under the pretext of booking a luxury accommodation, as it is not. If you have ever stayed in a "luxury" or "boutique" anything, you will know what I mean. There are much better places closer to town you can spend your money on.

After visiting 27 Greek islands over the years, it was Tinos this year. The downsides first. Extremely windy, with cold pool and colder sea! Beach a 20 minute steep walk away, and Tinos town a 20 minute drive. A car is essential, especially for half decent restaurants. Beach Bar ok, but cramped and noisy. Very limited Mini Market is a 15 minute walk away. So this location poses challenges. The hotel bar is virtually non existent! And closes early in the evening. There is no restaurant in the hotel, except for breakfast. Plusses: the hotel staff are magnificent. Reception, waiting, cleaning, Porters etc were always on hand. Polite, courteous, and helpful. The room was faultless, with a superb sea view. Fridge, kettle, robes and slippers provided. Top marks for all the staff. The wind prevented any comfortable sunbathing round the pool, which was very concrete! In conclusion, if the weather had been more Grecian, and the hotel more accessible, we would have had a better Tinos experience! But full marks to the wonderful, hard working staff.
